Ski area Alpe Lusia - San Pellegrino

With the "Alpe Luisa - San Pellegrino" lift pass, you have access to 95 km of piste, of which are connected with 23 lifts between an altitude of 1,190 and 2,513 m. Belonging to the network are the Alpe di Lusia/Bellamonte, the San Pellegrino-Pass and the Valle di Biois, of which can all be comfortably reached with the ski bus from Moena. Here, you'll find a majority of easy to moderate runs. However, ski pros can still enjoy the black pistes.

The home ski area of Moena is the Alpe di Lusia, and although it is well-known as a family ski area with 27 km of piste, it is also a popular place for lovers of fast curves. The diverse ski area offers great panoramic pistes looking out over a wide mountain pass, as well as a very practical, small children child care service in the "Baby Club," a FIS piste, and for free stylers, a well-kept fun park with half pipe.

With the new 10 persons funicular in Castelir, inaugurated in the season 2017/2018 , you can easily travel to the mountain station Morea, with a stop in Fassane. Also in Col Margherita there is a new piste, La Volata. This black piste, for skiers with experience, falls down to Passo San Pellegrino and with its steep hangings (almost 50 % gradient) is a real challenge.

Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy

To ensure safety on the ski slopes in Italy, stricter safety regulations have been in force since 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. To reduce the risk of injury, helmets are also compulsory for all minors when skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing.

Après ski Moena

Outside of skiing, the Fassatal has a whole string of activities to offer: paragliding, hang-gliding, tobogganing, ice hockey, ice skating, squash, or - if you're looking for something more romantic - horse-drawn sledge rides and winter hikes through enchanting, wintry wonderlands. On a total of 11 hiking trails, you can explore the gorgeous surroundings of Moena on foot or with snowshoes.

In the resort itself, many cafes invite you to enjoy an espresso or hot chocolate, and numerous shops and boutiques in winding alleyways inspire you to take on a little shopping tour. In the evenings, the streets are illuminated with thousands of lights and stir up a cosy, familiar winter atmosphere. Walk in the twilight through the alleys and enjoy the quiet this romantic resort has to offer. For dinner, taste traditional Trentino and Ladin cuisine in the taverns and restaurants or mosey into one of the small bars and cosy pubs after an accomplished day's skiing.

Snowpark: Dolomiti Park, Morea Snowpark, Snowpark Lusia Moena

The "Val di Fassa-Carezza" ski area is truly a paradise for freestylers. You have the choice between three fun parks: The Dolomiti Park, for example, lies right in the middle of the Belvedere ski area. The diverse kicker lines - for beginners, intermediates, and experts - are available to check out as well as a jibbing area with boxes, rails and corners, a slope-style run and a "Big Airbag." On the Karerpass, freestylers can let off steam in the Christomannos snow park. The panoramic view is really what makes this park special. The outlooks onto the Latemar and Rosengarten guarantee for unique photo sessions. The park comprises of several boxes and rails.

In the TreVille, three further fun parks are available to use. Up on the San Pellegrino-Pass, the "Sanpe Park," with 600 m and 14 obstacles, is a joy for every rider, from beginner to semi-pro. The selection of obstacles has recently been broadened with an Easy Line, a real highlight for beginners, with a 1.5 m high jump. The park is prepared daily by two snowcats and therefore stays in top condition. On the sunny southern side of the Lusia Alm lies the "Snowpark Lusia," another excellent fun park: with 800 m, it's the largest in TreVille and belongs to the most beautiful fun parks in the Dolomites thanks to its "Boardercross Lusia." For the less ambitious, "Le Buse," a beginner park, can be found at the Campo Scuola lift. At a length of 200 m, freestyle beginners will find the easier rails and boxes navigable.
