With the "Alpe Lusia - San Pellegrino" lift pass, winter sports enthusiasts have access to all the pistes of the Pellegrino Pass, Valle di Biois and the downhill runs in the Alpe di Lusia/Bellamonte area. The valley station of the modern "Molino Le Buse" gondola lift, which takes skiers and snowboarders to the Alpe Lusia - San Pellegrino ski area in just a few minutes, is located directly in the idyllic village of Falcade. Here every snow lover will find what they are looking for. A total of 95 kilometres of pistes and 23 modern lifts guarantee a varied snow experience at altitudes between 1,190 and 2,513 metres.

The ski area is especially suitable for families and beginners. Snow lovers can expect a total of 34 kilometres of blue pistes, on which children and beginners can learn to ski and snowboard in the best possible conditions. In the "Baby Club", toddlers are looked after by trained staff and learn to make their first turns in a playful setting, allowing for the parents to be able explore the ski area on their own. The wide, blue pistes in the ski area also invite you to carve, so that even experienced winter sports enthusiasts get their money's worth. Skiers and snowboarders who like it a bit steeper will definitely find what they are looking for on the 49 red and 12 black kilometres of pistes. Professionals can prove their technique on the La Volata piste. This popular downhill slope descends towards San Pellegrino, with a 50% gradient in places. Conquering this slope requires not only stamina and skill, but also a good amount of courage. Freestylers will also get their money's worth in the Alpe-Lusia - San Pellegrino ski area. Three fun parks with different obstacles and kickers for all skill levels ensure a lot of fun. There is also a boardcross track in the ski area.

Winter sports fans who are not sated by the almost 100 km of slopes can upgrade their ski pass for a fee and explore all the slopes of the "Dolomiti Superski" lift network. 1,200 kilometres of pistes, over 450 lifts, 24 snow parks and countless places to stop for refreshments beside the piste await winter holidaymakers in the beautiful mountain scenery of the Dolomites.

Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy

To ensure safety on the ski slopes in Italy, stricter safety regulations have been in force since 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. To reduce the risk of injury, helmets are also compulsory for all minors when skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing.

Night skiing Falcade

Unfortunately, there isn't the possibility of weaving down to the valley on illuminated slopes in the ski area Alpe-Luisa – San Pellegrino. Winter sports fans who don't want to miss out on the night-skiing fun should plan a trip out to the ski stadium Aloch in Pozza di Fassa. Here, the 1.6 km long piste is illuminated from Wednesday to Fridays until the late hours of the evening. The slope has red and black sections and is a regular site for competitions in slalom, carving and snowboarding. For skiing fun into the late hours, a small fee will need to be paid. With the lift pass "Dolomiti Superski", the night skiing in Pozza di Fassa is, however, free.

The oldest Tabías in the region were built in the 17th century, while the younger ones date back to the 1950s.
