Ski area Ylläs

Ylläs is one of the largest ski centres in Finland and lies at an altitude of 255-718 metres. With 29 lifts and a total of 53 kilometres of pistes on both sides of the fell, it offers a wide variety of winter fun. This includes a World Cup downhill run and the country's only FIS-capable super-G piste. There are 34 kilometres of easy pistes for beginners, while advanced skiers can enjoy 16 kilometres of intermediate and 3 kilometres of difficult pistes, as well as the fun park with boxes, rails and boarder cross. There is also something for the little ones here: They can let off steam on their own children's, family and school slopes as well as in the adventure forest. If you want to try something different, Ylläs is the perfect place to try your hand at telemark skiing. The ski resort has always been part of the Finnish telemark culture and is known as a training centre for the Finnish Telemark Association.

After a day on the slopes, there are many other entertainment options available in Ylläs. Numerous huts, restaurants and bars await guests with delicious food, live acts and music well into the night. Those who want to do something else can choose from a wide range of activities: From reindeer or husky sleigh rides to snowshoe hikes and snowmobile safaris, there are no limits to your imagination! With a bit of luck, you might catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights, which will leave an unforgettable impression. A visit to one of the spa centres is a great way to relax after a long and tiring day.
