Ski area Plan de Corones
The Korer lift with its 8-person gondola is especially suitable for beginners, children and families. Here you can look forward to a piste that 100 m broad and has a difference in altitude of 160 m. All in all, Plan de Corones is known as a very family-friendly ski area with many offers for children. At the top of Plan de Corones you can, for example, find the "Croniworld", in which parents can watch their children's process and enjoy the beautiful 360-degree-panorama in the meantime.
Experienced alpine skiers should try out the steep passages on the two valley runs "Sylvester" and "Herrnegg". There is no ski area other than Plan de Corones that presents itself in such a versatile manner! The area is also known as location for various winter sports events, such as e.g. the snowboard world cup.
In order to guarantee the perfect skiing experience, the ski area is regularly upgraded: The ever-popular sun lift has been replaced, completely modernised and equipped with many new features such as heated seats and protective bonnets. Free Wi-Fi is available in the Miara cabins and the snowmaking systems have been improved. In the 19/20 season, the non-detachable Rara chairlift was replaced by the modern "Skitrans Bronta". Since its construction, it has held the title of the shortest 12-seater gondola lift in the world and connects the valley stations of the "Miara" and "Pedagá" gondolas.
If you are looking for even more variety, you can book the lift pass extension "Dolomiti Superski" and choose between 1,200 km of piste and 450 lifts!
In the ski area Plan de Corones you have access to Wi-Fi hotspots at many lift pass offices. With the lift pass extension "Dolomiti Superski" you have access to further hotspots at lift stattions and in restaurants in the ski areas.
Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy
To ensure safety on the ski slopes in Italy, stricter safety regulations have been in force since 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. To reduce the risk of injury, helmets are also compulsory for all minors when skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing.Night skiing Riscone
Night skiers are spoilt for choice. The longest night skiing piste in the ski area is the Korer piste directly in Reischach. Every Saturday and Thursday from 19:30 to 22:00 you have the opportunity to ski the piste under floodlights, except on 24/12/2024. The piste is around 1.7 km long and can also be used for tobogganing.The Cianross run in San Vigilio/St. Vigil is also open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 20:00 to 22:00. Tobogganing is also permitted on the 700 metre long piste and the equipment can be hired on site.
In Terenten you can ski on the piste at night. The 0.8 km long piste opens its lifts for you on Fridays from 19:00 to 22:00 after sunset.
Après ski Riscone
Those wanting to spend a day away from the piste and snow have many attractive opportunities in Brunico. The "Cron4" pool complex promises relaxation and fun. Various pools, saunas and steam rooms, as well as massage jet showers await. Horse-drawn sleigh rides and winter hikes through the snowy landscape are also regularly on offer. Ice skaters will get their money's worth on the natural ice rink!
The "Korer Piste" offers variety for young and old, with its 1.1 km long toboggan run - an experience that you won't forget any time soon! If you don't want to get off your skis in the evening, you can choose between three illuminated night ski slopes where you can ski until 22:00.
Snowpark: Snowpark Kronplatz Riscone
The largest and most modern ski area in South Tyrol, Plan de Corones, meets all the needs of ambitious winter sports enthusiasts, both in terms of the panorama and the piste conditions. But what options are there for the freestylers among you if you want to enjoy a successful holiday? This question is easy to answer, because with two different snow parks, the ski area has something for everyone!
The "Easy Park", located below the "Belvedere" mountain station, lives up to its name. Over a length of 800 metres and at an altitude of 2,230 metres, there is a line with an easy level of difficulty that provides an introduction to the world of freestylers. Kickers, boxes, rails, a truck tyre and a 130 m long halfpipe provide the necessary height.
Another fun adventure is provided by the "Jib Park" on the "Korer" piste near the "Bruneck/Reischach" valley station. With 6,000 m² of various obstacles, it invites daring newcomers to take up the challenge and soon become real pros! Would you like to be a part of it?
