Ski area Val di Fiemme-Obereggen
Beginners should start on the sunny southern slopes of Alpe Luisa. Experts will love the steep Olimpia run on Alpe Cermis above Cavalese - there is an altitude difference of 1,390 m along the 7.5 km into the valley.
Snowboarders can take advantage of various snow parks, including the Ski Center Latemar, with rails, boxes, kickers, a halfpipe and much more. The snow-sure winter sports paradise also offers great areas for free riders! There is also a free ski bus service in Val di Fiemme that runs between the individual resorts and ski areas.
The combined lift "Laner" with 6-person chairlift and 8-person cabin lift at Ski Center Latemar was opened in 2016/17. It also gives you easy access to the new, approx. 750 m long toboggan run. A new mountain hut made of wood and glass with panoramic terrace and bar can be found at the Oberholz lift since December 2016 and invites you to take a break. In Alpe Cermis the children's area "Cermislandia" got a toboggan and a tubby rail as well as a practise area for the ski school. After a long day on skis you can warm up and make yourself comfortable at the modern lounge-bar "La Baita Tonda".
Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy
To ensure safety on the ski slopes in Italy, stricter safety regulations have been in force since 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. To reduce the risk of injury, helmets are also compulsory for all minors when skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing.Night skiing Predazzo
In Predazzo, skiers cannot only indulge in their hobby during the day, but will also get their money's worth in the night ski areas. The nearby ski area Obereggen opens some of their pistes three times per week in the evening. The night snowpark offers snowboarders and freeskiers the opportunity to use the eight brightly illuminated obstacles for longer than usual. 1.5 km of piste are available for night skiing and all who still have not have enough can use the 2.5 km toboggan run. Another night ski area can be found in Alpe Cermis, where you can go night skiing once per week on a 2.5 km piste. Furthermore the Alpine Coaster awaits toboggan fans, where you can reach speeds up to 40 km/h! Starting in winter 16/17 you can reach the approx. 750 m toboggan run that runs from the Almgasthaus Epircher-Laner down to the valley station of the Absam-Maierl charlift with the combined lift "Laner" in Latemar. A total of 9 toboggan runs can be found in the Eggen valley, e.g. the 2.5 km floodlit piste in the Obereggen ski area. Toboggan fans can also look forward to the Alpine Coaster in Predazzo, with which you can reach to up to 40 km/h on rails!
Snowpark: Morea Snowpark, Obereggen Snowpark Predazzo
The Val di Fiemme/Obereggen ski area is a true paradise for ambitious winter sports enthusiasts. With a fascinating panorama and an average of eight out of ten sunny days, you will enjoy the best conditions to relax or really let off steam. The freestylers among you will also find great opportunities to dedicate themselves to new jumps and to polish them. The "Morea" Snowpark in Bellamonte Alpe Lusia is situated in a sunny and quiet location on the southern slope of the "Fassane Morea" lift at 1,970 m above sea level. A total of 49 different obstacles, such as boxes, rails, picnic table and the like, offer both beginners and experts a lot of fun.
In the ski area Pampeago-Obereggen you will also find the "Obereggen" Snowpark. At the Pampeago slope you will find an easy, medium and pro line, a halfpipe, a boardercross and a banked slalom course, which are suitable for all levels from beginners to pros. There is also a Kids Learn Park especially for children, where the little riders can try out their skills. In the clubhouse with chill area you can relax with good music and cool drinks. Another highlight is the Nightpark, which is open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays until 10 pm. A small selection of up to 8 obstacles will be illuminated in the evening, so that all night owls will get their money's worth.
