Ski area Val di Fiemme-Obereggen

The "Val di Fiemme-Obereggen" lift pass is valid in the five very diverse ski areas of Alpe Cermis, Alpe Lusia-Bellamonte, Lavazé-Oclini, Passo Rolle and the Ski Center Latemar. Therefore, winter sports fans have a large selection of pistes with various levels of difficulty - a total of 111 km of piste at altitudes ranging from 860 m to 2,388 m are available to explore, of which are connected via 50 lifts.

Beginners should start on the sunny southern slopes of the Alpe Lusia. Pros can take on the steep run of the Olimpia on the Alpe Cermis, above Cavalese - here, winter sports fans will experience a 1,400 m difference in altitude along a total length of 7.5 km while making their way back down to the valley.

The local ski area, the Ski Center Latemar, has plenty of diverse options for skiers of all kinds - and we're not just talking about your standard downhill run. Daring skiers and snowboarders will find tons of fun in the "Snowpark Obereggen" with its playground including half-pipe. Today, 100% of the pistes can be covered in artificial snow, and the pistes themselves have already been rewarded several times for their preparation.

Kids will enjoy spending time in "Brunoland" in Obereggen. Bruno the Bear supervises children who are making their first moves on skis, which is made easier thanks to two long, differing conveyor belts, an entertainment programme, and various attractions like the children's carousel or suspension bridge.

Since the 2016/2017 winter season, a new combination lift has been put into operation. The lift replaces the old "Laner" 4-person chair lift and provides for even more comfort while skiing. Furthermore, you can continue to spoil yourself in the new mountain restaurant at the Oberholz lift with its culinary delights.

Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy

To ensure safety on the ski slopes in Italy, stricter safety regulations have been in force since 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. To reduce the risk of injury, helmets are also compulsory for all minors when skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing.

Night skiing Obereggen

A real highlight in the Obereggen ski area are the numerous possibilities to use the pistes at night and to extend the skiing fun. On three days a week the Val die Fiemme-Obereggen ski area offers its guests not only night skiing, but also night tobogganing. The night ski area lives up to its name: even snowboarders and skiers get their money's worth in the night snowpark. All in all three slopes are available for night skiing: Skiers can use an 1,5 km slope, 2,5 km can be used for tobogganing and 6 obstacles make freeskiers and snowboarder's hearts beat higher. If you have a several-day lift pass Val di Fiemme-Obereggen can use the many night skiing possibilities for free.

Après ski Obereggen

With just 100 residents, winter sports fans shouldn't expect to find much après ski here. However, the "Tipi", of which is located directly at the start of the ski area, you can stop in for a drink after a day on the piste. Night skiers and night tobogganers also tend to spend their evenings here. Additionally, the ski and snowboard school invites guests several times during the winter season to come to their "Obereggen Night Show" with fireworks, freestyle show, and open air disco.

Tobogganers will certainly get their money's worth here during the day – particularly along the 2.5 km long natural toboggan run in Obereggen or along the other runs in Eggental, of which allow for tobogganing fun between 800 m and 2,500 m altitude. There are also about 20 km of winter hiking trails all around Obereggen which invite guests to explore the mountain world off piste.

Snowpark: Obereggen Obereggen

The Obereggen snow park lies at the Obereggen lift. Along a length of 650 m, the park offers about 31 structures and obstacles of all levels of difficulty, including, but not limited to tables, rails, boxes and kickers and even an 80 m long half-pipe. Every now and then, you can relax in the chill area of the club house with free Wi-Fi. In the park itself, numerous events take place like the "Starship" - a pyramid in the middle of the park. The night park allows for breathtaking jumps under floodlights.
