Ski area Val di Fiemme-Obereggen
Beginners can test their skills on the sunny southern slopes of the Alpe Luisa. Pros can challenge the steep slopes of the Olimpia at the Alpe Cermis, just above Calvalese - here there is difference in altitude of 1,390 m, over a distance of 7.5 km leading down into the valley.
Snowboarders will also find what they are looking for in the Val di Fiemme, and can power out in the snow park at the Ski Centre Latemar which offers rails, boxes, jumps, a half-pipe and much more. Furthermore, the snow-sure winter sports paradise is also great for free riders to get a good boost of action. The individual resorts in the Val di Fiemme are connected by a ski bus.
The combined lift "Laner" with 6-person chairlift and 8-person cabin lift at Ski Center Latemar was opened in the 2016/17 winter season. It also gives you easy access to the new, approx. 750 m long toboggan run. A mountain hut made of wood and glass with panoramic terrace and bar at the Oberholz lift has also been open since December 2016 and invites you to take a break. In Alpe Cermis the children's area "Cermislandia" has a toboggan and a "Tubbybahn" as well as a practice area for the ski school. After a long day on skis you can warm up and make yourself comfortable at the modern lounge-bar "La Baita Tonda".
Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy
To ensure safety on the ski slopes in Italy, stricter safety regulations have been in force since 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. To reduce the risk of injury, helmets are also compulsory for all minors when skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing.Night skiing Cavalese
In Cavalese, you cannot only go skiing during the day, but can also leave on your skis once per week after dark. The ski area Alpe Cermis invites you to go night skiing on a 2.5 km piste. If that's not enough for you, you can experience the fascination of night skiing three times per weeks in the Obereggen night ski area. Apart from a 2.5 km toboggan run you can also look forward to a 1.5 km night ski piste. Snowboarders and freeskiers can look forward to an additional offer in the night snowpark: eight obstacles are available for night-time shredding fun. Also the Fleimstal is an ideal holiday destination for hikers and nature fans. Snow shoe hikers will find a lot of opportunities to discover the the winter landscape as well as the easy and the difficult tours. Nordic walking fans will also find many hiking routes. A snow shoe hike in the moon light or tobogganing under the stars along the lit piste in Obereggen is especially romantic, thanks to the floodlight up to 22:00 on several days during the week. Starting in winter 16/17 you can reach the new, approx. 750 m toboggan run that runs from the Almgasthaus Epircher-Laner down to the valley station of the Absam-Maierl charlift with the combined lift "Laner" in Latemar. A total of 9 toboggan runs can be found in the Eggen valley.
Snowpark: Morea Snowpark, Obereggen Snowpark Cavalese
The ski area Val di Fiemme/Obereggen is a real paradise for ambitious winter sports fans. A fascinating panoramic view and with 8 from 10 days sunshine these are the best conditions to let your stress go and burn off some energy. Also the freestylers will find some great possibilities to try out new jumps and practise their moves. The "Morea" snowpark in Bellamonte Alpe Luisa is located in sunny and quiet spot, on the southern slopes of the lift "Fassane Morea", at 1,970 m altitude. A total of 49 different obstacles, such as boxes, rails, picnic tables and more, are perfect for both beginners and pros to get some fun moves done.
In the ski area Pampeago-Obereggen, there is also the snowpark "Obereggen". At the Pampeago piste, there is an easy, medium and pro line, a half-pipe, boardcross and banked slalom run waiting to be tried out, great for all levels of skills. In addition, just for children there is a Kids Learn Park, where young skiers can give it a go. In the Clubhouse with Chillarea, there is enough space to unwind with good music and cool drinks. A highlight is also the night park, which is open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays until 22:00. A small selection of 8 obstacles, which are illuminated in the evenings, are great for all those who prefer shredding after dark.
