Night skiing Oberaudorf
The German-Austrian-border has a highlight for everyone who simply cannot get enough of skiing. Surrounding Oberaudorf in the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser Brixenthal, skiers will find one of the largest night ski areas in Austria. The brighly illuminated pistes with a total length of approx. 10 km in the SkiWelt Söll are open for night skiing several times per week. You can look forward to an impressive nightly panorama and indulge not only in night skiing, but also in tobogganing. If you prefer to have it a little more cosy, you should visit SkiWelt Westendorf or Brixen im Thale. Both ski areas also offer night time skiing fun on various days.Après ski Oberaudorf
If you rather want to remain active close to your accommodation after a day in the snow, there is a range of activities available in Oberaudorf. At the Hocheck valley station there is the Hirsch-Alm, a bistro-café with mountain hut atmosphere, and a great place to get your après ski started with some good music.
Once you have taken off your skis, you can move on to the toboggan run. Right between the Berggasthof Hocheck and valley station of the 4-person chair lift, there is access to a 3 km long winter toboggan run, approved by the TÜV and one of the safest in the whole of Germany. The run ends at the valley station. From here you have easy access on foot to various cafés, bars and restaurants, which are ideal for warming up after so much fresh air. From Bavarian Cream, right up to the opulent pork roast, you can work your way through the traditional dishes here.
Snowpark: Snowpark Söll, Boarders Playground, Kaiserpark Oberaudorf
In the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental, there are three great snowparks available. The "Snowpark Söll" awaits you in Söll and offers a mighty set-up. At an altitude of 1,220 m, there are approx. 19 elements available to try out. Newbies can enjoy themselves on easy kickers and a funbox in the beginner area. The medium area is open to more experienced freestylers, with boxes, kickers with up to 8 m tables, a 9 m long flat/down rail, and various jib elements. A special highlight in this park is the 450 m long Funny Bird Funslope, which is divided into two lines. Creativity is asked for on corners, a snowfunbox, a 7 m long tunnel, bank curves and snails. Thanks to the park-own floodlights, there are regular night sessions in the "Snowpark Söll" (twice per week).
Freestyle fun continues in the Ellmau "Kaiserpark". At the Tanzboden lift, beginners and pros alike will find a great range of freestyle options. On the easy line, beginners can get started on some boxes. The expert line is advisable only for those with adequate experience, and freestyle pros can burn off steam on a variety of boxes and rails, as well as a s 2-kicker combo and 2-roller combo. In the park-own Chill Area, you can unwind, sit back and watch the others between rides or when you have finished your session.
Near Westendorf lies the "Boarders Playground", a real shred highlight in the ski area: on the easy line, beginners can run riot on a slide plate, flat boxes and small kickers. The medium line in the "Public Park" is open to experienced riders and offers various boxes, kickers and corner/rail combo. The hard line in the "Pro Park" provides for some great adrenaline rushes. Be it a 7 m kink rail, 3x3 m wallride or kickers with up to 20 m tables - these obstacles demand creativity and courage. The "Big Mamas" huge jump is the heart of the park and rounds off the offer. Further, there is a Chill Area, a service station, a park hut with snacks and drinks and the "Boarders Playground" shop.
In the SkiWelt with it's 3 parks, sheer unlimited possibilities are waiting to be explored!
