Ski area Garmisch-Classic - Zugspitze

The "Top Snow Card" gives you access to a total of 89 lifts and 215 kilometres of piste between 732 and 2,720 m in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Mittenwald and on the Austrian side in the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena (see ski region).

The "Twin Ticket" gives you access to the Garmisch-Classic ski area and the Zugspitze, i.e. a total of 60 km of piste. The ski area is also known for its events such as the FIS World Cup and the annual New Year's ski jumping event.

In Garmisch-Partenkirchen, you have direct access to the Classic ski area (local mountain, Kreuzeck and Alpspitz/Osterfelderkopf). If you are travelling from further afield, the regional train with descent to the valley from Munich main station offers you an environmentally friendly alternative to travelling by car.

A total of 40 km of ski slopes and five snow-covered descent to the valley can be found in these ski areas. A varied ski area awaits you on the local mountain with the famous and very challenging, approx. 3.5 km long Kandahar descent. The longest descent in the ski area is the valley run from the Osterfelderkopf with a length of 8.8 km and a difference in altitude of 1,330 metres. There is also a Kinderland for the little ones.

The Zugspitze offers 20 km of well-groomed pistes as well as a deep powder snow paradise with freeride zones. Gentle ski meadows on the Zugspitzplatt ensure that even less experienced skiers don't have to miss out on the snow-sure skiing fun on Germany's highest peak.

Après ski Garmisch-Classic - Zugspitze

In Garmisch-Partenkirchen, there are no limits to what you can do! Numerous bars, discos, clubs and pubs invite you to après ski. Traditional huts and snow bars provide the right atmosphere after skiing. The top meeting place for all snowboarders and skiers is the umbrella bar in the "Sonnalpin" directly on the Zugspitz summit. An evening in the casino also promises high entertainment value!

Garmisch-Partenkirchen is also number 1 in Germany for other winter sports: 110 km of winter hiking trails, ice skating, wave pool, ballooning and paragliding await you.

Or hike through the gorges of the Partnachklamm and experience a unique natural spectacle! The challenging toboggan run on the local mountain also offers plenty of fun.

In addition, the Garmisch-Classic ski area awaits winter sports enthusiasts with many events such as Early Bird Kandahar, K2 grillout, Schneebeben, Ski World Cup races and Snowdown.
