Ski area Silberberg

With the ski area "Silberberg" that comprises approx. 2 km of pistes with its easy runs you can make use of the ski area that holds the same name. You will find enjoyable and relaxing skiing here! For the little ones there is a magic carpet which also offers the ideal conditions for practising the first moves on skis.

Those looking for more diversity, should try the ski area "Großer Arber" (lift pass purchasable locally), which is easily to be reached with the ski bus. It offers approx. 10 km of runs covering all levels of difficulties and there is even a world cup run! With some considerate investments have been made in the modernisation of the lift and the snow making systems, which now results in good snow conditions right up into spring. Snowboarders can run riot in the Family-Cross-Park with boxes, jumps, curves and waves. The little ones can try themselves out in the "Arbär Kinderland" with conveyors, a ski carousel and flat practice area. In the evenings you can enjoy a special activity by skiing under flood lights.

Après ski Bodenmais

In Bodenmais you will be sure to find the one or the other umbrella bar, cosy hut or restaurant to end the perfect skiing day adequately.

However, away from the pistes there is also a diverse selection of winter hiking trails which lead you through the picturesque winter landscape. Also very popular with both young and old is snowshoe hiking, which is offered by the local ski school, taking you on a guided tour over the mountain plateau. Toboggan fans will also find what they are looking for, e.g. on the approx. 1 km long run in the Arber area. The new Bodenmais Waldrodelbahn/Hochzell toboggan run offers a selection: either choose the 2.9 km steeper run with 11% descent, or take the 3.1 km long family route.

If the weather is not playing along so well, there is an indoor pool and skittles alley in the closer area, or in the ice stadium in Regen.

Snowpark: Snowpark Familien-Cross-Park Bodenmais

On the largest and most snow-sure mountain of the Bavarian Forest, the Große Arber, with a notable altitude of 1,456 m and a wonderful panorama view, the "Grosse Arber" provides great experiences for the ambitious winter sports fans and freestyle lovers. The "Familien Cross Park" at the Thurnhof slope is best suited for beginners and those with some experience, yet still guarantees a rush of adrenaline. The park is ideal for getting the feel of freestyling and introduces the newbies to the scene. Via an opening in the fence you can access the entrance area of the park, which is clearly separated from the normal pistes.

The obstacles are ideally designed to fit beginner needs. From the "Startberg" over some kickers and boxes, right up to kid's rails and fun waves - this park is the right place to go for all families who want are looking for something new.
