Ski area Černý Důl
Černý Důl is associated with the large ski resort Černa Horá - Pec, of which is composed of five different ski areas: Janské Lázně, Pec pod Sněžkou, Černý Důl, Velká Úpa and Svoboda nad Úpou. The snow-secure region with its five ski centres offers extensive pistes reaching up to an altitude of 1,260 m on the Cerna Hora mountain. Here, you can find different ski terrains with a total length of approx. 38 km of piste, of which 24 km can be prepared with snow cannons when necessary. A total of 39 help spread out visitors all over the area, which can all be enjoyed with one lift pass. Free ski buses and the "Scneeschleuder," a Pistenbully transporter, also help transport visitors from one area to another. The way from Janské Lázně to Pec can also be covered on skis.
Night skiing Černý Důl
If you still have not had enough of skiing after being on the piste all day you can let off some more steam during night skiing. Several pistes at different lengths and levels of difficulty are available for night skiing in and around Černý Důl. The night ski area in the Pec pod Sněžkou area, which is the highest of them, illuminates the "Javor" piste for night skiing. At a length of 1.8 km the piste "Protěž in the ski area Janské Lázně is probably the longest night skiing piste in the area. It is marked blue-red, well prepared, and is a true highlight for night skiers. When tobogganing down the 3.5 km run on the Schwarzberg, you can take in a gorgeous view of the Klaustal. Sledges can be rented from the valley station.
For indoor activities, head over to the Balneo centre of the Hotel Aurum and check out the heated swimming pool and other amenities, such as a fitness room, tennis courts, sauna, solarium, and a skittles alley. Or visit one of the many museums in the surrounding area.
Snowpark: Snowpark Černý Důl
The snowpark, while small in size, packs a punch with its special obstacles and jumps and is practically a playground for beginners and practiced freestylers. In total, ten obstacles are available, among them shorter and longer rains with varying levels of difficulty, as well as kickers that, due to the consistently fantastic snow conditions, are well-prepared.
