Cross-country Steinach am Brenner

Information on cross-country skiing

10 km Cross-country trails (in km):

The Wipp Valley and it's mountain valleys offer a total of 85 km of prepared cross-country trails. A real paradise for Nordic skiers. Starting at the Steinach, there is a high-altitude trail over 10 km length, right up to the middle station of the Bergeralm. Half-way there is the possibility to pause at the Nößlach hut. Along the trail, you can enjoy some breath-taking views of the entire Wipp Valley.

In the neighbouring districts and in the side-valleys, such as in Gschnitz, Vals, Trins and Mühlbachl there a further beautiful trails available, all between 3.5 and 18 km in length. The two longest are also suited for beginners and run between Trins and Geschnitz. The network in the Gschnitztal has been awarded with the Cross-country trail Quality Seal.
