The four small ski areas in the Tannheimer Tal region offer families in particular a wide range of opportunities to have fun on and off the piste. A total of 23 lifts and 49 kilometres of slopes await beginners and advanced skiers of all ages. The lifts are easily accessible from the respective villages. Above the main town of Tannheim, there are 12 kilometres of downhill runs on the Neunerköpfle (1,864 m).

In the small ski circus of Schattwald-Zöblen there is even an FIS downhill run where experienced skiers can test themselves. The Haldensee lake and some great cross-country ski trails are not far from the village of Grän. From here, an 8-seater gondola lift takes you up to the Füssener Jöchle (1,818 m), from where skiers can see as far as Neuschwanstein Castle on a clear day.

Finally, Nesselwängle on the Krinnenalpe offers a small family ski area with 6 lifts and 13 kilometres of pistes. A little away from the valley, surrounded by the German border area but still belonging to the Tannheimer Tal region, is the designated Jungholz family ski area with 10 kilometres of predominantly blue pistes.
