Ski area Jungholz

With the "Jungholz" lift pass, you can ski on 10 km of predominantly blue pistes in the local ski area of the same name. The wide, well-organised slope with several runs is divided into different areas, making it unique in this form.

In "Learnland" at the valley station, the very little ones learn to ski on two magic carpets, in the ski carousel and on the practice slope. The child-safe Adler 4-seater chairlift takes you further up to the "N'Ice Bear Kinderland", which is designed for beginners up to the age of 8. Here there are small heated igloos where fairy tales are read aloud and the little ones can take a nap. More active kids are drawn to the bouncy castle without skis.

Meanwhile, racers of all ages race down the "Snow Raceland" on the Bischlag chairlift. With prior booking, the race track can be used for private competitions or as a practice area for clubs. There is also a boardercross course for sporty snowboarders. Action cams can be hired from the lift ticket offices to film short 30-second spots.

For a refreshment stop, head to the sun terraces of Schrofen Hütte or Bischlag Stadl. The two specially enclosed "sun islands" are a special feature. There is no food or music on these sun terraces, just an oasis of calm with deckchairs and beach chairs. Free Wi-Fi is also available at the larger of the two huts. Families and leisure skiers can hardly imagine a more relaxed ski area.

Après ski Jungholz

The village of Jungholz is as quiet and remote as it is relaxed on and off the slopes. There are no umbrella bars here, but rather oases of peace without music and hustle and bustle. Instead of ski boots, nature lovers can put on their hiking boots and hike up the nearby Sorgschrofen (1,635 m). A tobogganing experience for the whole family can be found at the Stubentalalpe, a nice excursion destination for hikers and tobogganers above the village at around 1,300 metres. From there, an approx. 3 km long run leads down towards Jungholz. There is also a 200 m long children's toboggan run and a 300 m long swimming pool toboggan run in the village.

A cosy end to the day naturally involves feasting on regional delicacies in the mountain restaurants or at the innkeepers in the village. Jungholz really is a gourmet village for those seeking peace and quiet and nature lovers.

Snowpark Jungholz: Snow park

There is a boardercross for snowboarders in the Jungholz ski area, but there is no real fun park in this small family resort. The nearest decent set of obstacles can be found in the "Golden Groves" fun park in Nesselwängle in the Tannheimer Tal. If you don't want to travel that far, you can find the "MINI Snowpark Oberjoch" at the Iselerbahn cable car in Bad Hindelang in Oberallgäu, 15 kilometres away.
