Cross-country Finkenberg

Information on cross-country skiing

28 km Cross-country trails (in km):

Each of the villages in the Zillertal has its own cross-country ski trails. In total, this creates a network of approx. 125 km in length. Around Finkenberg you will find about 28 km of well groomed cross-country trails, some of which are also in skating style. The longest trail, 14 km, leads you from Tux-Vorderlanersbach to Madseit. Due to its altitude of 1,300 m to 1,450 m, it is still passable when it is already thawing elsewhere. On presentation of the Tux-Finkenberg ticket, the shuttle between Mayrhofen and Hintertux can be used as a free shuttle.

In nearby Mayrhofen there are a further 35 kilometres of cross-country trails. The degree of difficulty of the trails around Finkenberg is in the medium range, around Mayrhofen rather in the easy range and thus offers perfect conditions for the first attempts on cross-country skis. For example, you can enjoy the dreamy winter landscape on the 3 km long Hollenzen trail or on the 0.8 km long Strasser trail.

In Burgstall you will find four new cross-country trails. You can, for example, try your hand on the sprint or professional track or experience the wonderful winter landscape in comfort on the pleasure track. Three cross-country trails are even illuminated until 10 p.m. and thus allow you to enjoy sporty evening hours.
