Ski area Schneebären Card

With the "Schneebären Card" ski pass, you have access to 5 ski areas with a total of 128 kilometres of slopes: Tauplitz, Kaiserau, Planneralm, Loser and Riesneralm.

The largest of these ski areas is Tauplitz at an altitude of 896 - 1,965 m. 17 lifts, including the Mitterstein cable car, as well as 43 km of slopes of excellent piste quality will convince every winter sports enthusiast. Thanks to its favourable geographical location, the new Tauplitz is one of the most snow-sure areas in Austria. Snow depths of up to 5 m have already been measured here.

The Loser ski area has 33 kilometres of slopes and 8 lifts. All 6-seater chair lifts are equipped with a bonnet and warm comfort padding and offer optimal protection in all weather conditions. The ski area at Loser (850 - 1,800 m) consists mainly of easy to intermediate pistes and is therefore ideal for beginners and pleasure skiers. Where the European Cup is hosted, there is of course also an FIS course. The wide pistes offer plenty of space for carving, gliding and swinging. The latest snow-making equipment allows you to enjoy skiing until spring. The fun park is considered an insider tip in the border and freerider scene and has a kicker combo, wave rail, jib quater, several jumps and much more. The Loser is known for its magnificent panorama over the Ausseerland and the Salzkammergut.

Après ski Altaussee

Altaussee offers different opportunity to explore and experience the surrounding landscapes other than on skis and snowboards.

Leaving the regular trails, you can explore the nature around Altaussee on snow shoes. If you want to aim higher, you can take touring skis instead of the lifts and climb up the mountains in order to get to know the quiet parts of the ski area. All in all, the region has 7 ski tours at different levels of difficulty.

Activities for the whole family are of course also available, such as e.g. "Schlittgoasreiten" (local term for tobogganing) on the natural toboggan run Zlaim at lake Grundl, which is only approx. 15 minutes by car from Autaussee. In Altaussee itself, young and old can try out curling or go ice skating together.

Snowpark: Loserfenster Altaussee

Loser ski area offers a small funpark for beginners and intermediates. The park is approx. 200 m long and has several kickers and rails. The real highlight are the neighbouring Freestyle Areas at Loser. They area a must for every freerider and offer pure action.
