Ski area Park City
There is a chair lift, which takes you directly from the centre of Park City to the pistes. Family-friendliness is written big here and is to be found in so many details, e.g. in the children's learning park, which also offers a magic carpet. The area is especially suitable for snowboarders. The fantastic snow parks leave no wish unfulfilled and the really brave can try themselves on the largest half-pipe in North America, the "Eagle Superpipe".
The "Deer Valley Resort" is counted amongst the most exclusive ski areas in the world and was awarded Northern Americas best ski area several times. It is only suitable for skiers and has excellently prepared piste. Approx. 100 km of piste and 21 lifts are waiting for you.
Après ski Park City
Extensive shopping can be done in the many shops and galleries. You can also stay sporty by going on a snowmobile tour, ice skating or snowshoe hiking. Or treat yourself to relaxation in the spa centre.
The lively night scene in Park City is among the top 10 of the country. Don't miss a visit to the No Name-Saloon on Main Street, where one plays shuffle board while enjoying a fine glas of whiskey. For some stylish live jazz try Mother Urban's and some excellent whiskey can be had at the High West Destillery, who won an award for their home-made whiskey in 2010.
Snowpark: Terrain Parks Park City
Park City is not only an eldorado for deep powder snow fans but also for freestylers of all levels. In Park City Mountain and Canyons there are a total of seven fantastic snowparks, which are called "Terrain Parks" in the US. In Park City Mountain Resort, all freestylers are kings, no matter if beginner or pro. At the "Little Kings" near the valley station, beginners can have a first go, in "Three Kings" you can shred on several jibbs into the night as the area is floodlit. Finally, the "Kings Crown" is a Terrain Park of world class, where the likes of Stevie Bell, Shaun White and Tanner Hall have shredded. Then there is also "Neff Land" at King Con Ridge, which is a lovely Mini Park, designed with some supersized candy bars.
Pipe lovers will find the Eagle Superpipe as well as a halfpipe of 6.7 m height amazing, international competitions have taken place here already. The neighbouring ski area Canyons offers three big Terrain Parks: the "Painted Horse" lies at the Saddleback Express and has more than a dozen obstacles like boxes, jibbs and kickers on offer. The "Transitions Park" at the Sun-Peak Express is rather suited for cracks with high ambitions. The "Woodchuck Natural Zone" mustn't be forgotten, it's hidden between trees and offers obstacles in the original terrain. For the freestyle offspring between the age of 3 and 6 there is a big practice zone, the "Burton Riglet Park", which lies at the Canyons valley station and offer mini obstacles for the first jibbs. In this new mega ski area Park City there's something on offer for everyone!
