Engadin
The sun-spoilt Engadin Upper Valley lies in the Graubünden canton. The region is separated into Upper Engadine and Lower Engadine, Upper Engadine being really impressive with its gorgeous landscape filled with lakes, forests and breathtaking glaciers. "Piz Bernina" is the only 4,000 m mountain in the eastern Alps. It is very impressive and, along with the majestic Morteratsch glacier, is located in Engadin. The region is not just the fount of "white winter holidays", but also the River Inn. The upper valley astonishes constantly with contrasts, which really distinguishes the famous resort of St. Moritz. St. Moritz is an annual destination for high society. In addition to modern and luxurious architecture, one can find many rustic farms and old Romanesque churches in the rest of Engadin.Travel Pontresina (St. Moritz)
