Ski area Crans-Montana

In Crans Montana there 140 kilometres of piste that can easily be accessed through 23 lifts. In a sunny altitude of 1,500 to just under 3,000 m, Crans Montana offers skiers and snowboarders a varied ski area which can be separated into three levels. Set against the backdrop of the impressive mountain landscape of the Valais Alps, you have a clear view of Matterhorn and Mont Blanc.

The ski area is situated below the Plaine Morte glacier, treating the guests with well prepared pistes and many snow-making installations. Beginners can find a good area with gentle hills and practise lifts, medium-level skiers find lopes at Chesteron or Petit Bonvin.

Carvers in a good physical conditions should try the longest piste in the region, the 12 km long slope from Plaine Morte down to Les Barzettes. Those who want to try out heli-skiing can do so in Crans Montana as well. On numerous free ride possibilities as well as the snow park nearby the gondolas Grand Signal and Crans-Cry d'Er, ambitious skiers will find there is nothing left to be desired.

Night skiing Crans Montana

A special highlight in the ski area Crans-Montana is night skiing: all winter sports fans in Crans-Montana who have not had enough wind, snow and mountain air can go night skiing in floodlight.The night ski area is located directly at Cry d'Er and is open every Friday from 19:00 - 22:00. Night owls can look forward to a total of 4 km of piste. If you want to enjoy a nice dinner you should not miss out on torchlit skiing with fondue afterwards.

Après ski Crans Montana

Directly in the ski area you can enjoy the wonderful panoramic view on romantic huts with tasty food and drinks, like at the "Cabane de Violettes" (2,204 m). Also the resort centre has several attractive places to celebrate the ski day. At "Pacha Club", "Xellent Club", in "Amadeus Bar" or at "Monk'is Sàrl" you can spend some sociable hours until late into the night. The casino is also worth a visit.

Even off piste, the sports programme in winter is varied. The Snow Island welcomes families with kids especially: you can go tobogganing, snow tubing, or try your first steps on skis. Also popular among the little ones: ice skating on one of the two ice skating rings or the model railway museum.

Ice climbing or paragliding with an impressive view will make your holiday even more spectacular. Or you could take a ride on a dog sleigh. If you are looking for relaxation, you can look forward to various offers in and around Crans Montana, such as the thermal baths in Leukerbad and Ovronnaz. Don't forget to take a shopping stroll through the resort's pretty shops and boutiques.

Snowpark: Snowpark Crans Montana

Apart from the ski area, people living in the region Crans Montana are especially proud of their snow park. In the midst the Valais Alps you can find an "adrenaline zone" that can make every free styler happy, regardless of their abilities.

The valley station of the Crans lift is the access to a spacious snow park area. The first part is beginner friendly and offers smaller obstacles ideal for the first attempts. Passing a ski- and boarder cross run, you will reach the heart of the Park with several rails, three different lines and athe biggest half pipe in the Walliser Alps.

Another highlight is the snow bar offering cold drinks, snacks and trendy music in the middle of the area, while boarders try out spectacular moves all around. Whether you just want to have a look, or be part of everything, the snow park has a little something for everyone.
