Ski area Formigal

With the "Formigal" lift pass, you have access to Spain's most modern ski area and, due to its size (114 kilometres of piste from 1,502 m - 2,245 m) it is one of the leading ski areas in the Pyrenees. Four new systems were built in the 2004/2005 season alone, and another 17 are expected, so that the ski area will then consist only of chair lifts. From Formigal in the valley, you have direct access to the ski area. The pistes let all skiers' hearts beat faster; in addition to perfect preparation, special attention was paid to equal skill distribution. Two new 4-person chair lifts, "Furco" and "Faballones", were erected especially for beginners and every valley station offers practice lifts. Intermediate and expert skiers will find a lovely territory on the pistes below the Pico Tres Hombres. Free stylers and snowboarders will also really burn off some energy in Formigal, as a snow park was constructed in the 2005/2006 season. A boarder cross area is also available. A dense network of modern restaurants and small lodges for a snack during the ski day round off the ski area's facilities.

Après ski Formigal

Apres ski fans won't be short-changed in Formigal and can look forward to the various available options. Culture buffs should definitely plan a visit to the 11th century Romanesque church. Those looking for a quieter holiday can enjoy various restaurants in resort, which invite you in to end the day in a cosy atmosphere. Apres ski in the pubs runs late into the night.
