Ski holidays Lillehammer - step it up on Olympic pistes!

Lillehammer

Lillehammer is one of the most famous Norwegian winter resorts, which at the very least is connected to the 1994 Winter Olympic Games. A gorgeous hiking area is just as fascinating as the pistes in winter. Lillehammer wins guests over with its romantic location on Norway's largest lake, which offers the perfect setting for long evening walks. Despite the liveliness, the resort has retained its original charm and offers a variety of entertainment options. The pedestrian zone "Storgata", with its colourful wooden houses and numerous shops and bars, invites guests to linger and stroll; the Lillehammer Art Museum and the Norwegian Olympic Museum provide cultural entertainment.

Oppland

History was made in 1994 in the Norwegian city Lillehammer! The world's best skiers fought for Olympic gold and made the resort famous. The city, with its nearby Olympic ski area, is located in the Oppland district in the eastern part of Norway, in the heart of a wonderful mountain landscape. Here guests will find the country's highest mountain peaks! Since the 1994 Winter Olympic Games, the ski region has been continually expanded and is now one of the most popular areas in Norway. Lillehammer has more to offer than snowy pistes, though. A real experience is the legendary view from the ski jump tower on the largest mountain in the ski jump area of Lysgårdsbakkene or a bobsled run in the Hunderfossen Olympic centre. In "Taxibob", speeds of over 100 km/h are reached! Guests can let themselves get carried away by the Norwegian apres ski and yield to the typical Scandinavian charm! Lillehammer's restored inner city, with numerous shops, restaurants and bars, ensures a pleasant change away from the pistes.
