Ski holidays Geilo - the family-friendly mountain village!
Geilo
Directly between Oslo and Bergen, in front of the Hallingskarvet mountain chain, is the idyllic resort Geilo with 2,700 residents. The compact and manageable centre in the middle of a fantastic mountain landscape offers its holiday makers a cosy ambience. Ample off-piste activities are also available to make your holiday a true experience. For example, you can glide through the winter scenery on cross-country skis, explore the natural surroundings on a guided tour or take a tour of the city Lillehammer. In this family-friendly resort, small guests are well provided for, both on the children's pistes and in the ski school, as well as in supervised childcare.Hallingdal
The approx. 150 km long Hallingdal is situated in the Buskerud district in Eastern Norway. The landscape is exceptionally diverse with numerous tributary valleys, crystal-clear lakes, extensive forests and wide, snow-covered slopes up to 2,000 m. The classic travel routes from Oslo in the south to the north-western fjords run right through the region. The mountain trains that connect Oslo with the western mountains also run through the valley and ensure good accessibility to the individual towns. The ski region offers everything necessary for a successful winter holiday: prepared and varied pistes, a wide cross-country ski track network, picturesque lodges with direct access to the ski area and an exemplary selection for families. The region also offers quite a bit for apres ski fans!Travel Geilo
