A total of approx. 30 km of cross-country ski trails run through the valley floor in Valles, but also through the sunny high plateau in Maranza. The trails are suitable for all levels of skill, and cosy retreats can be found in favourable locations along the trails. An intermediate circular course starts right at the Jochtal valley station in Valles. It is located on a snow-sure altitude of 1,350 m and is approx. 7 km long. At a length of approx. 10 km, the high altitude trail in Valles is especially appealing.
The Alffaßtal trail at Gitschberg offers a great view from an altitude of 1,556 m. Both beginners as well as experienced Nordic skiers will enjoy this trail. Another easy trail can be found in the ski area, leaving along Lobenweg to the Bacher hut, where you can have a well-deserved break. East of Rio di Pusteria, you can find the Rodenecker-Lüsner trail, which is well-prepared for skating style on a length of 15 km.
