Ski holidays Madesimo - a very special kind of feel-good holiday!
Madesimo
The largely unspoilt village of Madesimo lies in the Splügen Valley at the foot of the Pizzo Groppera (2,948 m) at an altitude of around 1,550 metres, not far from St. Moritz in Switzerland. With around 600 inhabitants, Madesimo is one of the quieter places in the Italian Alps, where modernity and tradition complement each other wonderfully. In addition to modern hotels, boutiques and cafés, you will also find beautiful old, rustic farmhouses and inns from the past. After Madesimo experienced a building boom in the mid-1960s, it has now become all the more idyllic in this dreamy high mountain village. The first ski races in the Alps took place in Madesimo at the beginning of the 20th century. Today, you can enjoy the snow-sure pistes in a beautiful mountain setting and savour the delicious wines of Lombardy in a cosy atmosphere.Sondrio
The region Sondrio is found in Lombardy and astounds with its varied landscape. The panoramic view from the peak of the local range or the Forni glacier is very impressive. The many vineyards and the surrounding hillside area invite guests to take a romantic walk through the lovely winter landscape. Numerous nature reserves guarantee an impressive natural spectacle. Particularly lovely is the Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio. Here, beneath the Ortler mountains and the "Alta Valtellina" ski area, three valleys meet. The Valdidentro, Valfurva and Valdisotto. Whether sport, culture, shopping or relaxation in the thermal oasis - guests get their money's worth in Sondrio.Travel Madesimo
