Location and facilities
The modern 4-star Hotel Sauerland Stern is located at the foot of Ettelsberg mountain, approx. 200 m from the resort centre of Willingen. A bus stop as well as the ski area can both also be reached in approx. 200 m. Access to the cross-country ski trail is possible in approx. 300 m.The accommodation's facilities include a reception, lift, Wi-Fi, breakfast room, restaurant, day bar as well as a disco. Free-of-charge parking spaces can be found based on availability.
The approx. 150 m² spa area offers an indoor pool and sauna area with Finnish sauna, infrared cabin, organic sauna and relaxation room (opening hours as per info in resort). A fitness room is also available. Treatments in the beauty center and massages can be made use of for a locally payable fee.
At certain holiday times (see information on site), children's entertainment is offered in the Stern Kinder-Eldorado.
Board
The included half board includes a breakfast buffet and an evening buffet including drinks (soft drinks, water, beer, house wine 18:00 - 20:00).In the period from 24/12 to 27/12 there is a Christmas programme with breakfast buffet, gourmet buffet for dinner, 1 x festive Christmas buffet, romantic torchlight hike with mulled wine and hot chocolate break, Christmas market, presents for the children on Christmas Eve and entertainment programme for young and old (for exact programme see information on site).
From the 24 to the 27/12, a small Christmas market will offer coffee, fresh waffles and cocoa for children. There will also be a children's welcome party by the "Stemtaler" including a Christmas drink for children and adults. Live dance music will be played in the pub.
In the period 30/12 to 02/01 there is a New Year's Eve programme with a gourmet buffet for dinner and a changing animation programme, such as a guided snow safari. On New Year's Eve there is a New Year's Eve party for children, a cocktail reception and an event in the restaurant with gala buffet and music. Drinks (beer, house wine and soft drinks) are free on 31/12 from 19:00 to midnight. From 23:00. there will be "Saturday Night Fever" with DJ and at midnight a small treat to celebrate the turn of the year. A brunch is offered on New Year's Day.
