Cross-country Waldkirchen

A total of 35 km of cross-country trails lead through the wonderfully forested nature of the Bavarian forest in and around Waldkirchen. The 35 km are divided into six trails marked in different colours and which all have a different shape.

The longest trail is Schauerbachloipe (No 1, red) with a length of 15 km as a circuit course. It leads down from Karoli chapel via the spa park and meadow valleys to the ski piste in Oberfrauenwald. Approx. 20 percent of the intermediate trail lead through the forest. The golf course trail (No 2, blue) with its approx. 2 km is the easiest and shourtest route. The Panorama trail (No 3, green) can also be used in skating style and exclusively leads over open meadows. Heindlschlag trail (No 4, orange) is a 3 km intermediate trail leading through open country and offering a wonderful view of the mountains of the Bavarian Forest. The Adalbert-Stifter trail (No 5, purple), with a length of 4 km, is one of the trails with intermediate length and level of difficulty. It runs along the railway embankment and challenges Nordic skiers with one or another slight rise. From this trail you also have access to the trails to Jandelsbrunn, Altreichenau and Haidmühle.
