Ski area Spitzingsee-Tegernsee
The Spitzingsee-Tegernsee ski area in the Bavarian Alps is primarily very popular with ambitious amateur skiers. After all, 12.5 of the 14.2 kilometres of pistes are designated as red and black runs, which are particularly challenging for experts. At an altitude of 1,085 to 1,600 metres, you will find ideal conditions in winter, weather permitting, as modern snowmaking facilities ensure guaranteed snow. While families with children and beginners mainly appreciate the flat, blue pistes on the mountain pastures above Spitzingsee, professionals will find some challenging pistes, especially on the Roßkopf (1,580 metres).
The short, steep Roßkopf run and the challenging Grünsee run, which leads from the mountain station below the Roßkopf summit over 500 metres into the valley, are particularly fun challenges. Thanks to the new construction of the long Roßkopf chairlift, the slopes of the ski area are now even easier to reach for skiers and snowboarders.
With the "Alpen Plus" lift pass (see ski region), you have access to 3 other ski areas in addition to Spitzingsee-Tegernsee: Brauneck-Wegscheid, Wallberg and Sudelfeld. In total, this means fun on the slopes on almost 80 kilometres of pistes, which are served by 45 lifts.

Night skiing Tegernsee
Night skiing fans will get their money's worth in the Spitzingsee-Tegernsee ski region. From December, the floodlights on the Stümpfling downhill run are switched on every Thursday and Friday from 18:30 to 21:30. Skiers looking for classic après-ski will definitely find what they are looking for in the Spitzingsee-Tegernsee ski area. They can not only enjoy cool drinks and music on the sun terraces of the mountain huts at the edge of the piste. The "Basislager" umbrella bar awaits you at the valley station of the Stümpflingbahn cable car and "s Hosendial" at the Suttenbahn cable car, where you can round off a long day of skiing with mulled wine, Jagertee and a snack.
In addition to the classic restaurants, Tegernsee is also home to the world-famous brewery, where the original Tegernsee beer is served in the classic beer mug. And because tradition and culture are very important here, it is always worth visiting the exhibitions at the Olaf Gulbransson Museum and the Tegernsee Valley Museum.
Those looking for action in the open air after or instead of a day of skiing will not be disappointed at Lake Tegernsee either. One of the most challenging natural toboggan runs in Germany with a length of 6.5 km awaits you on the Wallberg (1,722 m). Curling, romantic carriage rides and ice skating are also possible in winter. Winter sports enthusiasts who are in the region at the end of January can also take a hot air balloon ride at the Montgolfiade and enjoy spectacular views of the snow-covered winter landscape.
After such eventful days, relaxation is of course the order of the day, which you can enjoy in the many first-class spa facilities of the accommodation establishments or in the Bad Wiessee iodine-sulphur baths, where the healing effects of Germany's strongest iodine-sulphur springs have been beneficial to body and soul for over 100 years.

Snowpark: Funslope Tegernsee
Depending on the snow conditions, there is a funslope in the Spitzingsee-Tegernsee ski area. This is located on the east and north slope lift of the Untere Firstalm and offers an attractive set-up consisting of small kickers, boxes and a wave run. The new funslope replaces the previous snowpark and is also suitable for less experienced freestylers.
