Ski holidays Seeg – The honey village in southern Allgäu!

Seeg

At the edge of the Allgäu Alps lies the climatic health resort of Seeg with around 3,000 inhabitants. The town is especially known for its 100-year beekeeping tradition, so it is also called the "honey village". Honey and bees are very present in Seeg; there is a show apiary, a beekeeping experience and an educational bee trail leads through the village. In summer, everything here revolves around the busy little creatures and their yellow gold; in the cold season, on the other hand, it's all about the white gold. In winter, the bees rest in their hive and winter sports in the magnificent Allgäu nature come into focus. The snowy region embeds Seeg in a wintry landscape of dreams, characterised by gentle chains of hills and the fantastic Allgäu summit panorama. The foothills of the Alps then invite you to go skiing, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, winter hiking and enjoy horse-drawn sleigh rides.

Allgäu

The Allgäu is part of the region Oberschwaben and stretches from the south-western part of Bavaria to the south-eastern part of Baden-Württemberg and partly along the borders of Austria. It is situated right between lower Alps and the Bavarian hill country. With an altitude of up to 2,657 m the Allgäu offers the Nebelhorn as the highest and most well-known mountain of this area. It is not for nothing that this is one of the most popular tourist areas and main winter sports regions within Germany. For Alpine skiers there is a large offer of well-prepared pistes - both for beginners, as well for more experienced winter sports fans. Many of the slopes can be covered with artificial snow and offer reliability for skiing until the end of March. After a day on the pistes you can meet up in the many huts, cafés and pubs or even spend the night in the local clubs.
