In the Berchtesgaden National Park, before the impressive Watzmann Massif (2,713 m) panorama, lies the romantic Berchtesgadener Land. Surrounded by a mountain chain with peaks reaching 2,000 m - 2,700 m, the Upper Bavarian region offers peace and tranquillity. A total of five ski areas cater to all winter sports fans' tastes: the ski area Hochschwarzeck entices families with children and Götschen is ideal for snowboarders and freestylers.
