Ski area Ski Oberstdorf Kleinwalsertal

Together with the Austrian Kleinwalsertal, Oberstdorf, the southern-most district in Germany, makes up an incredible ski region with a total of 127 km of piste (incl. 8 km ski routes), which can be accessed with the lift pass "Ski Oberstdorf Kleinwalsertal" The area is especially suitable for families and beginners. But also the more experiences skiers will have many possibilities to try out some more challenging well prepared pistes, which can be accessed with the 45 gondolas and lifts.

At the Nebelhorn, you can ascend up to 2,224 m with the highest located gondola in the Allgäu. When the weather conditions allow it, you can enjoy a wonderful extensive view of approx. 400 peaks reaching from the Zugspitze to the Swiss Säntis. This experience can only be topped by the descent down Germany's longest valley run from the Nebelhorn to Oberstdorf.

Family-friendly and ideal for practising is the Sölleck area with mostly easy to intermediate pistes. The Walmendinger Horn offers lovely and diverse runs for all different levels of skiing knowledge. A special attraction is the 2-country ski area Fellhorn/Kanzelwand: Here you have the opportunity to ski through the German ski area Fellhorn right down to the Austrian Kleinwalsertal!

In all main stations of the Fellhorn and Kanzelwand lifts, as well as in all the "Das-Höchste" restaurants, you have free-of-charge access to Wi-Fi hotspots.

Night skiing Oberstdorf

The transboundary ski region surrounding Oberstdorf connects several small ski areas to the largest ski area in Germany, so that night skiing cannot miss. The illuminated pistes in the region's ski areas invite you to extend skiing fun until the evening on several times per week. You cannot only go night skiing on the German side, but will also find night ski areas on the Austrian side. Snowboarders and freeskiers will find their nightly adrenaline rush in the snowpark in Kleinwalsertal. The lifts open for night skiing also offer snow boards and open mountain huts so that you can take a well-deserved break. Surrounded by the mountains Nebelhorn and Breitachklamm, winter sports enthusiasts will find everything their hearts desire in Oberstdorf.

Après ski Oberstdorf

Nothing stands in the way of a cosy evening in Oberstdorf. Let yourself be spoilt in one of the many restaurants or let the evening come to a cosy end in one of the bars. If you are looking for a bit more action, parties can be found in the "Steinbockalm" in Mittelberg (Austria), where you can swing by after the last run. In the evenings there is dance music offered there for young and the young at heart.

A visit to the ski jumping stadium "Audi Arena" at the foot of the Schattenberg in Oberstdorf is also worth the trip. This is one of the venues of the annual 4-jumps tournament (Vier Schanzen Tournee). A small ski museum is also to be found there. Besides the Schattenberg jump, the Heini-Klopfer jump - one of the largest jumps worldwide, also offers a brilliant view of the surroundings. For all those who want to remain sporty, they can visit the ice sports centre in Oberstdorf.

Snowpark: Crystal Ground Snowpark Oberstdorf

Freestylers and snowboarders will feel right at home in Oberstdort in the Kleinwalsertal. Often merely accepted, the young and wild are actually welcome here and have something to look forward with 2 fun parks "Crystal Ground" and "Easy Fellhornpark". Created as freestyler's paradise the park designers and shapers have put all their effort into presenting a location for both beginners and pros, under the highest security standards and offering great opportunities to see the snow from above!

The "Easy Fellhornpark" is fitted with an easy kicker line and some easy obstacles, such as butter boxes. Perfect for gaining some first experience! The "Crystal Ground" is a popular snow park for all skill levels, due to its creative, monthly changing and jib-focused set-up. Numerous camps, event series and sessions ensure that boredom is non-existent here. When the snow conditions allow it, the park also turn its light on in the evenings. On the "Audi quattro Funslope" Fellhorn you can find kickers, fun boxes, tunnels, waves and banked runs ready to try, at 1,750 m altitude. Snowboarders and skiers of all levels can enjoy a great experience of freestyling here.
