Location and facilities
The cosy 4-star Best Western Hotel Hofgut Sternen is located in the district of Breitnau, approx. 5 km from the centre of Hinterzarten. The nearest ski lift for the Thoma ski centre, a ski bus stop, and an access point for the nearest cross-country trail can be reached within approx. 5 km. The ski area Feldberg is approx. 18 km away. A free shuttle service to the lifts at the Feldberg runs during the winter season (depending on the weather) and departs directly from the hotel (upon availability). The accommodation complex comprises the Schwarzwaldhaus (main building), the Glashaus and the Goethehaus (side buildings), which are designed in the typical Black Forest style. The main building offers a reception, lift, Wi-Fi, lounge, breakfast room, restaurant, lobby-bar, a ski room (in the Goethehaus) and free parking spaces.The KONUS Guest Card (includes free access to public transport systems of the southern Black Forest area), as well as a the Hochschwarzwald Card are both included in the holiday price. With the latter, you have access to all ski lifts of the Hochschwarzwald for free. Further, it offers daily 1.5 hours free access to the "Badeparadies Schwarzwald" (pool complex, excl. the saunas and Palm Oasis from 16 years), free entry to all indoor pools of the Hochschwarzwald and 70 further leisure time activities (all offers are subject to change, more info in resort).

The comfortable rooms are located either in the Goethe, Schwarzwald or Glashaus buildings (based on the room type booked) and offer a bath or shower/wc, satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, hair drier, safe, coffee and tea maker, and some also have a balcony (based on the room type booked).Board
The holiday price already includes half board and comprises a daily breakfast buffet and a 4-course menu with choice of main dish in the evenings. 1 x per stay, you will be provided with a fondue dinner with meat or cheese as well as one welcome beverage per full-paying traveller. 1 x per stay, coffee and cake in the afternoon is also included for you.Pets

Important notes
- Access to the ski lifts only with valid ID, passport or children's passport.
- The "Hochschwarzwald-Card" is not transferable and may only be used once per day for each night's stay. It is valid either from the day of arrival, or from the following day (and then until the day of departure). In the hotel, a deposit of €10 pp has to be paid for the card.
- The KONUS guest card is NOT valid for use of the ski lifts or for use of ICE, IC and EC train connections.
- When booking rooms with multiple or additional beds, there is no claim to the additional beds
