Ski area Hochficht

The house Skigebiet am Geiersberg (approx. 5 km away from Hauzenberg) offers you three tow-lifts and 2 km of prepared pistes. Here you have a great opportunity to learn your first swings in a relaxed atmosphere. Especially, children will feel well in this clear area. The air board route is a real highlight, which you can try the trendy air board on. You can also ski under flood light, so that even in the evening you can have some fun on the piste.

Approx. 20 m away, behind the Austrian border, you can find more variety in the ski area Hochficht with its 20 km of pistes. 10 lift systems and 100% artificial snow coverage ensure a lot of ski enjoyment. The idyllic and family-friendly ski area lies in the centre of the three-country triangle and can be entered through the two valley stations Klaffer and Schwarzenberg. Not only the famous snow park lets the hearts beat faster, but also the kids park offers quite a lot of adventure!

Après ski Hochficht

After spending a long day in the snow diverse local bars invite you to let the day fade with traditional Bavarian dishes. The more active ones have the opportunity to enjoy the toboggan, explore the winter hiking or skate on the natural ice rink.

If the weather conditions should not allow it, a few museums can be found in the area, which present their art of craftsmanship: The weaving museum, the "Dinkelbier" brewery museum, the ceramic museum, the animal museum and even the first Bavarian schnapps museum. Otherwise you can use the indoor pool or the small tennis hall in the area.

Snowpark Hochficht: Snowpark Boardercross Hochficht

The Bavarian Forest leaves no wishes unfulfilled, for those who are looking for a bit of riskiness. The ski area Geiersberg and the neighbouring area Hochficht offer 2 very different options to dare a ride through thin air.

An innovation, directly from Switzerland, the "airboard" is only the beginning! Here you have the chance to explore hight in an otherwise limited terrain on the ground. With your stomach to the floor and head-first you lay on an airbag which is remarkably easy to steer, due to its ribbed profile. Soft materials take out the blow of bumps and considerably limit the damage of crashes. If you are looking for an adrenaline kick you can take the airboard and test it on hard pistes and in deep, powder snow for the ultimate and unforgettable experience.

You rather prefer to rely on your own 2 legs to keep control of your sports device? The boarder and skicross run at Hochficht is the place to be. At 1,300 m altitude and close to the Hochficht peak there is a number of jumps which only wait to be explored and offer a spectacular high Alpine panorama to enjoy!
