Ski holidays Fischen im Allgäu - winter fun for the whole family!

Fischen im Allgäu

The spa resort of Fischen is located at an altitude of 761 m in the Allgäu Alps, approx. 5 km from Oberstdorf. The leisurely resort with village charm is a particularly great choice for families. The local piste is just the thing for the little ones, with a separate children's area and magic carpet which helps them to familiarise themselves with the skis and lifts. A toboggan ride at "Kleinen Stinesser", down the 200 m long natural toboggan run in Fischen, makes for real fun. You can enjoy the magnificent surroundings and leave your everday worries behind with a guided snow shoe hike. For nature lovers the over 50 km of hiking trails are perfect. An absolute highlight are the two high-altitude hiking trails (at 1,500 m), which grant you an unforgettable view of the surrounding mountains- this is something you really shouldn't miss! Besides fun in the snow Fishchen offers many other leisure possibilities. In Fischen's sport park you can play tennis or squash and go go-karting or in the leisure park you can speed down the 58 m long water slide. The Fischinger FIS-Skimuseum also calls for a visit.

Oberstdorf (Oberallgäu)

Regardless whether with family, friends or even on your own, this ski region is a great destination for everyone. 45 cable cars and lifts bring you up to 2,224 m in Germany's largest ski area, where you will find 127 kilometres of piste (ski routes incl.) enjoying the best alpine conditions. The spectrum of runs covers wide pistes for carvers, through to difficult variant runs with deep snow fun for experts. All this on four mountains in two countries - the dual-country ski area Fellhorn/Kanzelwand spans the border between Germany and Austria! Numerous activities, e.g. relaxing in the pool, a dog-sled ride or winter canyoning through Kleinwalsertal's fascinating natural surroundings await skiers.
