Ski area Val Cenis Vanoise
The "ESKI-MO" lift pass also gives winter sports enthusiasts access to over 350 kilometres of varied pistes in a total of 6 highly interesting ski areas. All guests who have booked at least a 6-day lift pass can also use the La Norma, Valfréjus, Aussois, Bonneval sur Arc and Val d'Arc - Bessans snow areas for one day in addition to the pistes in Val Cenis, which can be used daily. These ski areas are mainly characterised by easy to intermediate slopes. However, there are also some black runs. In addition, a free ski bus service provides a convenient connection between the individual ski areas.
About Val Cenis itself, the ski area on the north-west slope of Mont Cenis is considered to be very snow-sure. There are various huts there for refreshments or simply to relax in the sun. The forest runs, which lead down into the valley on winding paths, are particularly beautiful. On the other hand, the black run "Michèle Jacot de la Met", which starts at 2,800 metres above sea level, teaches even experienced skiers the meaning of fear, while less experienced skiers can have fun on the longest beginners' slope in Europe, the "Escargot" (meaning "snail"). Away from the pistes, there are also interesting canyons and natural pipes. And for freestylers, there are two snow parks at different heights including boardercross.
In addition, Orelle, which is just under 35 km away and therefore easy to reach, offers visitors from Val Cenis the perfect introduction to the ski area of Val Thorens, the centre of Les 3 Vallées. For this reason alone, nobody should miss out on a trip to the largest ski area in the world!
Night skiing Val Cenis
Skiers and snowboarders who are not yet satisfied with the offer in this form and who still have enough stamina for another sporting activity in the evening should not miss the night skiing in Val Cenis. Every Thursday during the season, the opening hours of the "La Colomba" piste are extended so that fun on the slopes under floodlights and moonlight is the order of the day from 20:00 to 22:00. The descent of the night skiing area is around 1.5 kilometres long and, as a "green" piste, is also ideal for the youngest skiers. Night skiing is possible directly from the district of Lanslevillard.Après ski Val Cenis
We also recommend a visit to a crêperie, as no one should miss out on this typical French speciality. The atmosphere is even better in bars and pubs, where you can toast to an exciting day's skiing with a drink!
And for those who would like to spend a day off the slopes, there are also many attractive alternatives. These range from tobogganing and dog sledding to paragliding or snowshoe hikes through the snow-covered mountain landscape. Visitors to Val Cenis can also relax in the 150 m² spa area of the "Aqua Spa Institut". In addition, an indoor swimming pool, an ice skating rink and a bowling centre provide further varied entertainment.
Snowpark: Snow park Val Cenis
In Val Cenis, there is a small snow park with different levels of difficulty at the "Essart" ski lift. Both beginners and advanced freestylers can practise their skills here. The obstacles are constantly reshaped depending on the snow conditions. There is also a boardercross piste and two children's "fun runs" in the ski area.
