Ski area Le Grand Domaine

The ski region "Le Grand Domaine" lies below the Col de la Madeleine, between the Massif du Cheval Noir and the Massif de la Lauzière. It stretches over a surface of approx. 3,600 ha and offers 165 kilometres of pistes in various levels of difficulty, with an altitude difference of 1,153 m. In combining the ski areas Valmorel and St. François-Longchamp, a marvellous winter sports setting came alive, which is perfectly connected by 47 lift systems. The sprawling ski area (1,250 - 2,403 m) invites you to take a day tour, the cosy ski huts to come in for a drink.

The pistes are predominantly intermediate, but there are many demanding runs, mogul pistes and countless deep snow possibilities. One of the more challenging pistes is the 1.8 km long "La Luzière", on which you have to overcome a difference in altitude of 700 m.

Exemplary is the large beginners terrain with especially slow lifts, as well as a children's village. The little ones will be supervised, if the big "kids" want to go skiing by themselves. The ideal location means the region is snow-sure until mid-April.

At the end of the Rocher Blanc lift in St. François-Longchamp, freestylers will find the "Rail Park" snow park with a selection of jumps, kickers and, of course, various rails.

Après ski St. François-Longchamp

For a lunch break or on your way into the valley, a stop at one of the cosy huts is worth it.

Lively après ski, however, is something this quiet town does not offer: a holiday in St. François-Longchamp means winter sports, relaxation, recuperation, and taking a break from everyday life. Let the evening gently die away in a bar, a restaurant or in the cinema.

An absolute highlight at night are the spectacular torch-lit runs, which you should definitely not miss.

Snowpark: Snowpark Rail Park St. François-Longchamp

The "Rail Park" in St. François-Longchamp is a great meeting place for freestyle skiers and snowboarders. Adrenaline junkies and freestyle enthusiasts alike get their money's worth here. The park offers a variety of features such as kickers, rails and boxes that provide plenty of action and fun. Whether you are an experienced pro or a newcomer to freestyle, the Rail Park in St. François-Longchamp offers the perfect backdrop for unforgettable moments and lots of fun on the piste.

For those looking for further freestyle adventures, Valmorel offers the "Snowpark des Pirates" with a wide range of additional freestyle elements. There is also a boardercross course for exciting races and a pirate village with various attractions built especially for children.
