Ski area Les 2 Alpes

With the "Les 2 Alpes" ski pass, the Jandri Express takes winter sports enthusiasts up to the 3,560 metre-high glacier in just a few minutes. The new 3S Jandri gondola lift, which will open in December 2024, shortens the journey time to 17 minutes (valley station to glacier) and increases capacity to 3,000 people per hour. This ensures shorter waiting times and significantly more comfort. From the top station, you can then enjoy the 227 kilometres of pistes (including ski routes) of Les 2 Alpes to the full - what a view!

The new 6-seater combined lift (chair and gondola) Diable also takes you directly from the village to the ski area in comfort. The cracks will find several deep snow runs and ski routes, while normal skiers can choose between a variety of red and blue pistes. The longest descent in the ski area is highly recommended: from the highest point of the glacier, it is almost 16 kilometres down to Mont de Lans, the lowest point. You cover a good 2,280 metres in altitude! The most difficult descent for adrenaline junkies is "La Fée 5". With its steep slopes, it is an absolute pleasure for experienced skiers. The easy "Vallée Blanche 1" is also very nice to ski, which is wonderfully illuminated in the morning and offers great skiing fun towards the sun.

The beginners' ski area is also unique, as it is not located at the bottom of the valley, as is usually the case, but "on the top", i.e. at an altitude of almost 3,600 metres. This means perfect snow at all times for your first turns! The practice area in the "La Toura" sector is ideal for beginners and families. Numerous small jumps, rails and a mini pipe as a playground are set up for the whole family.

An absolute highlight is the snow park located on the glacier at an altitude of 2,600 metres, which is unique in Europe with two halfpipes, a boardercross course, numerous jumps and other obstacles. In the chill-out area with music and drinks, you can then relax and watch the other freestylers perform spectacular tricks. It is not without reason that various contests and events are regularly held here.

In addition, you have the opportunity to use the ski areas of the Grande Galaxie with a 6-day ski pass or multi-day tickets: Ski 2 days in Alpe d'Huez (249 kilometres of slopes, exception: 15/03. - 22.03.2025) as well as 1 day in Serre-Chevalier (250 km), 1 day in Puy St. Vincent (75 km), Via Lattea/Sestrière (400 km) and 1 day in Montgenèvre Voie Lactée (75 km), i.e. you can choose from over 1,200 kilometres of pistes!

A WLAN area is set up in the tourist office of Les 2 Alpes.

Night skiing Les 2 Alpes

As in many ski resorts in France, the Les 2 Alpes ski resort also offers the option of extending the skiing day on a few evenings during the week. This turns night into day in Les 2 Alpes: After the regular operating hours, there is family-friendly night skiing in the evening hours.

There is a small, fine night skiing area right in the village centre that attracts night owls every week. A 500 metre long piste is floodlit for night skiing. The Lutins T-bar lift transports young and old to the child-friendly piste, which is marked green and offers beautifully flat terrain. The exact times for skiing fun in the evening are announced at the local tourist office.

Après ski Les 2 Alpes

The transition from skiing to après-ski is seamless, as not only the flats are located directly on the piste, but also the numerous après-ski bars such as Smithy's Tavern. Many guests also end their day of skiing at Smokey Joes, the top location when it comes to après-ski and Tex-Mex food. By lunchtime, the first people are already practising their "turn in" and before the last ones have left, it is usually late in the evening.

If you still haven't had enough, you can continue dancing in the countless discos of Les 2 Alpes, such as L'Avalanche Club. There are also regular festivals, concerts and other events, so that musical entertainment is guaranteed during your skiing holiday.

Other than that, the bowling hall or laser game, for example, provide good entertainment away from the slopes. For all those looking for action after skiing, there are numerous outdoor activities such as the Ice Glider, a kind of bumper car on ice, snowmobile rides or paragliding schools that provide a magnificent view over the snow-covered landscape and an unforgettable experience. There is no such thing as boredom in Les 2 Alpes in winter!

Snowpark: Freestyle Land Snowpark Les 2 Alpes

The "Freestyle Land" snow park, which is located at an altitude of 2,600 metres in the Toura area in winter and 3,200 metres in the middle of the glacier in summer, has been a particularly popular destination for freestylers of all kinds for years. It is not without reason that the annual Uni Champ Contest is held here, where Germany's students battle it out in boarding and freeskiing.

The winter park at Toura has plenty of freestyle fun to offer on an area of 24 hectares. The slopestyle course consists of three kickers, three rails, a hip that is connected to two quarter pipes and is finished off with an S-rail. The 4 m high kicker with a 20 - 25 m table in the big air zone allows you to enter the slopestyle line after the jump and finish the course with the hip. In the Axe Pipe there is a multifunctional table, a step-up gap kicker and an up rail that leads to a quarter pipe and a down rail at the end. The 120 metre long and 5 metre high halfpipe is maintained daily by an experienced team and is therefore always perfectly groomed.

In addition to all these freestyle options, the park has a cool kids' area, a beginners' area with hoops and tables, a special rail area with boxes, beginner and pro rails and intermediate kickers. There is also a boardercross area.

The perfect offer of the 2 Alpes Snowpark is rounded off with a cosy chill-out area, which provides the perfect sound as well as a generous BBQ. The visitor area provides an optimal view of the riders freestyling and practising in the park. The snow park in Les 2 Alpes really invites everyone to be part of the community and this special location to enjoy the cosy atmosphere together.
