La Clusaz
La Clusaz is a typical, charming mountain village on 1,039 m - an international ski resort which, with is traditional architecture, is a nice change to many retort-ski villages. Especially since La Clusaz is known as the cradle for many world stars of winter sports - for example freeride Sébastien Michaud, freestyle Olympic Champion Edgar Grospiron or cross-country skier Vincent Vittoz - the resort is mainly interesting to young visitors. Due to the many offers for families that have been created over the past years, the resort was awarded the "Famille Plus" seal of quality, so that families enjoy the village at the foot of the Aravis Massif just as much.In La Clusaz, relaxation meets Action, and so you can look forward to spa facilities as well as numerous, partly adventurous sporty activities. At the end of a skiing day, guests can choose between a cosy evening in one of the various restaurants and a wild nights in the bars, pubs and clubs in resort.
Massif des Aravis
Large glens, mountain plateaus, hanging valleys and rough rock faces - this is what the landscape looks like surrounding the 20 km long Aravis Massif. In the middle of Savoy, the massif can be found between the Lac d'Annecy and the Mont Blanc. Around the massif with its peak, the Pointe Perc on a height of 2,753 m, you can find four authentic mountain villages that have kept their charm until today. Known as the cradle of Reblochon cheese, the region is mainly characterised by farming. In this region, tradition and modern age live hand in hand.
