Cross-country Stachy (Stachau)
Zadov is one of the most well-know Nordic skiing centres in the Czech Republic. The cross country ski stadium Churáňov is attractive to both active Nordic skiers as well as spectators. In 1983, the cross-country ski world cup took place on the neighbouring racing tracks. Until today, the 200 x 50 m large arena which is located on the highest spot in the ski area at 1,095 m, is still used for important races and events during summer and winter. Up to 30 sports events take place throughout the year. The racing tracks are 1 to 15 km long and are prepared several times a week.
In the surrounding areas of Stachy, further 50 km of trails are kept which are connected to the network in the Bohemian Forest. The neighbouring resorts can be reached within 6 km (to Orská Kvilda), 10 km (to Kvilda), and 15 km (to Modrava) up to 20 km (to Březník).
