Ski area InterSkiregion Fichtelberg/Klínovec
From Oberwiesenthal you can easily access the Fichtelberg, either with Germany's oldest, still running gondola, or via the modern 4-person chair lift. As there are mainly easy to intermediate pistes available on the Fichtelberg, this is an especially suitable ski area for families and beginners. The 2 km long family descent and the 1.8 km long toboggan run are prefect family entertainment. Further, there is a children's practise area with magic carpet and ski kindergarten. Experienced snow enthusiasts will also find entertainment. The 1.2 km long FIS run under the gondola, and the approx. 600 m long piste "Am Wäldchen" are known as some of the most challenging FIS descents in Eastern Germany.
The approx. 5 km distant Klínovec ski area (1,244 m) provides for a diverse selection of pistes over approx. 31.5 km in total all around the Klínovec mountain, the highest mountain of the Ore range. Most of the slopes can be rated with intermediate difficulty. Especially popular are the six forest runs on the northern side of the mountain.

Another must is a trip to Keilberg. The marked hiking path is 12 km long and leads up to the summit of the highest peak in the region, where an observation tower awaits visitors. From here you can enjoy a unique 360° panoramic view of the Ore Mountains. If you don't want to hike up the mountain, you can make use of the cable way.
Bad weather is not a reason to get bored. A skittles evening, the Boží Dar museum of local history, swimming or tennis in the nearby Oberwiesenthal, or an extensive evening dinner in one of the cosy inns or restaurants in resort offer further alternatives to spend your afternoon.
Snowpark: Snowparks Oberwiesenthal & Klínovec Boží Dar
The "Fichtelberg-Klínovec" ski region has a good snow park for your tricks and shredding each at Fichtelberg and at Keilberg. The snow park Oberwiesenthal has a lot of space for your to let off steam on various jumps, kickers, rails, tubes, as well as a wall ride. One line is reserved for kickers only. There also is a DIY wood line with pole jam, coping and down slider, and a 110 m half pipe rounds off the offer.
The fun park at Klínovec next to the Vlek tow lift is also well considerable with its kickers, rails, boxes, half pipe and a beginner line. The super pipe which is FIS approved, is one of the highlights - here, competitions during the Snowboard World Cup were taking place.
