Ski area Zillertal Arena

With the "Zillertal Superskipass" you have the choice between 542 kilometres of pistes in the Zillertal Arena, at the Mayrhofner Bergbahnen, in the Ski & Glacier World Zillertal 3000, in the Hochzillertal - Hochfügen - Spieljoch ski area and the Wildkogel Arena in Bramberg. The ski areas are linked to each other via a free bus and train shuttle service. The Zillertal Arena has been offering a free Wi-Fi network in its ski areas for several years now! So you can not only glide over the white splendour and enjoy the sun, but also share the latest experiences and highlights directly with your loved ones at home (see ski region).

From Zell am Ziller, you can directly access the Zillertal Arena ski area with a total of 147 kilometres of pistes and 51 lifts. The extensive area at an altitude of up to 2,500 metres offers ski and snowboard fans a variety of downhill runs and an interesting snow park and freeride offer. On Austria's longest valley run, 10 kilometres of pistes can be covered in one go. The route of the HöhenFresser tour leads from the highest point of the Zillertal Arena down to the valley, covering a difference in altitude of 1,930 metres. At the same time, downhill skiers are offered a panoramic view of the Zillertal. The deep snow slopes on the Kapauns chairlift and the Falschbach chairlift are recommended for all ambitious skiers.

With the new 8-seater "Teufeltal" chairlift and the modern "Duxer X-Press" 6-seater chairlift, winter sports enthusiasts will experience a completely new skiing experience from the 24/25 season. Both lifts are equipped with heated seats and weather protection bonnets, guaranteeing maximum comfort even in unfavourable weather conditions. The powerful lifts shorten waiting times and offer you even more comfort thanks to more space. Whether beginner or pro - everyone gets their money's worth in the Zillertal Arena.

Freestylers will be perfectly happy in the "Actionpark Kreuzwiese" near Zell am Ziller with FunRun and BagJump or in the "Snowpark Gerlos" with mega halfpipe.

Beginners will find a marvellous practice area at the Rosenalm, for carving choose the slopes below the Karspitz, for example. There is also a varied children's programme in the region so that the little ones can learn and enjoy skiing in a relaxed way. Experience a wonderful ski area with predominantly intermediate pistes and wonderful places to stop for refreshments!

Après ski Zell am Ziller

After a long and eventful day on the sunny pistes the best thing is to go an enjoy some good aprés ski - the easiest thing to do in the Zillertal Arena! Numerous huts and snow bars invite you in to party and flirt. In the Zell ski area you can already get started e.g. on the "Rosenalm" or "Kreizwiesenalm". Located at the valley station, you best go to the "Saustad'l", to "Jogg'l Kessl", into the "Krocha Alm" or to "Tuxer Pfiff-Bar". Cosy guest houses, quaint parlours and nice cafés invite the guests to try traditional and regional cuisine.

Alternatively you can also take a nice walk along the 20 km long and illuminated Ziller promenade or take a speedy go at the natural toboggan run with it's 7 km length. This is easily reached by the Gerlosstein cable car. Action and fun are sure to be found on the "Arena Coaster", the first Alpine roller coaster in the Zillertal! Sports enthusiasts can keep going on the ice rink, tennis courts and skittles alley. Nature fans however can take a ride in the horse-drawn sleighs or go on a snow-shoe hike through the snowy winter landscape around Zell.

Snowpark: Snowpark Action-Park Kreuzwiese Zell am Ziller

Those on holiday in Zell am Ziller have many opportunities to freestyle and be creative. In Zell you will find the "Action-Park Kreuzwiese", which comprises special highlights. Fun sport fans will definitely get their money's worth on the fun run, bag jump, "BMW xDrive Cup SkiMovie" run, and the "BMW xDrive Speed Check" run!

Next is the private brand of Gerlos, the "Hot-Zone Snowpark", which is located at an altitude of 2,020 m on a 30.000 m² area between the Vorkogel lift and the Ebenfeld express. Beginners, intermediates, and pros will definitely have fun here. Beginners can improve their skills and new tricks on the Beginner Line with its easy and compact set up. The Pro/Medium Combo Line in the middle of the park is always challenging freestylers with its obstacles. On the Kicker Line, which starts with two smaller jumps, you can dedicate your time solely to air time and really run riot. The newly built Jib Line doesn't leave anything to be desired. Especially great for children and even the whole family, is the Kids Line. Those who would like to relax after a long day on the piste, can enjoy the music in the Chillarea and just observe other freestylers do their thing.

The fun park in Hochkrimml is small, but lots of fun. It's located direct under the lift Filzsteinbahn and is especially suitable for children. It completes the action offer in the Arena and has the perfect conditions for the first freestyle-action try out.

More fun can be had in the Zillertal Arena. Besides the "Hot-Zone Snowpark" there is also a 100 m long and 18 m wide half-pipe near the Fussalm express.
