Ski area Hochzeiger

The ski area Hochzeiger, which stretches between the Sechszeiger (2,395 m) and the Hochzeiger (2,560 m) is ideal for those looking for diversity during their ski holiday. In total there are 11 lifts and 40 km of piste, located between 1,450 and 2,450 m altitude. Situated mostly above the tree-line, snow-sure descents offer fun for all levels of skill, beginner to pro.

Especially nice are the sunny slopes on the Sechszeiger. Furthermore, there are a good number of freeride options on the tree-free mountain side. A greater challenge can be found at the Rotmoss lift: here you will find some mogul pistes, ski routes, racing and time-tracking runs. Another special challenge is the 1.5 km long Zirbenfall descent, which, with a gradient of 80% and an altitude difference of 945 m, is the most difficult in the ski area. Freestylers can let off steam in the fun park at the Hochzeiger middle station. Night-time enthusiasts will have fun on the 6 km long toboggan run, which is illuminated once a week in the evening. The ski area is not only suitable for advanced skiers, but also for families. The extra bonuses for families is the children's ski schools excellent offers: transfers from all places in the valley to the piste, children's ski school and ski kindergarten, a piste rules trail as well as child-friendly mountain huts and the children's area, a separate practice area only for children with children's carousel, warm-up stage and the Pitzi Express.

Would you like to explore the entire Pitztal valley on skis or snowboard? By upgrading your ski pass to the Glacier Park Card Winter, six ski areas with a total of 120 km of pistes and 76 pistes are open to you: Pitztal Glacier, Rifflseebahn, Hochzeiger, Imster Bergbahnen, Kaunertal Glacier and Winterberg Fendels. With the ski pass upgrade, you can also use the ski bus in the Pitztal valley free of charge and commute comfortably between the ski areas.

Après ski Wenns

At the Hochzeiger valley station you enjoy real apres ski feeling: in bars such as the "Egger Lounge", "Apres Ski Illegal" or the "Hennenstall" the end of a ski day is celebrated joyfully! The "Rutsche" in the centre of Wenns is the ideal address to continue the evening partying: live music, drinks and of course lots if fun are daily programme here. Otherwise the resort is more a family destination and a rather quiet.

Activities away from the piste include excursions through the Pitz Valley on the many winter hiking trails of the region. The frozen waterfalls surely are a major highlight and a real Mecca for ice climbers. Depending on the weather conditions and temperatures there are approx. 45 routes available for the climbers. Various toboggan runs invite you to join for a joyride. The longest run is 6 km, commences at the Zeigerrestaurant and easily accessible via the gondola at the Hochzeiger - once per week you can even enjoy tobogganing into the evening hours due to the flood lights alongside the track. Further the local restaurants invite you in for enjoy and relax during the evening hours.

Snowpark: Snowpark Hochzeiger Wenns

Directly at the Hochzeiger valley station lies the ski area's snow park. The approx. 15 perfectly shaped elements are distributed over 2 lines - a box line and a kicker line.for beginners and one intermediate line. Beginners as well as intermediate freestylers, on the other hand, can improve their skills.
