Ski area Schneebären Card

The Schneebären Card stands for 5 ski areas and 128 kilometres of slopes: Tauplitz, Kaiserau, Planneralm, Loser and Riesneralm. The "Tauplitz" is the largest area of this union (Schneebärenland), with 43 km of piste and 20 lift systems. It is known as one of the most traditional ski areas in Austria and thanks to the geological location, the area benefits from mostly ideal snow conditions. Modern snow-making systems ensure that fun in the snow is guaranteed for as long as possible. However, not only on the pistes here are the perfect place to be for winter sports fans. The area is also very popular with ski tour fans, and also freeriders can find suitable terrain here. It is not for nothing that this place is also known to be one of the best freeride areas in Styria, offering numerous obvious, but also some hidden lines of vyring lengths. In the Ski-Kinderland, the little ones can burn off steam and change their skis to comfortable rubber tyres in the ski-tubing area.

Après ski Tauplitz

From cosy Alpine hut via umbrella bar with deckchairs (for catching some sun), right up to sociable pub - party animals have a range of options to choose from in Tauplitz. For further entertainment away from the pistes, there is also a 3 km long toboggan run and an ice rink for trying out the traditional "Eisstöckln" (a form of curling).

A hiking tour through the snowy landscape up to the Kulm will be worth the worth the views. Once you have reached the top of the world's largest natural ski jump and you look down into the valley, you can can get an idea of how the athletes feel, when the start their flight from such a ramp.

Snowpark: SnowValley Snowpark Tauplitz

Tauplitz itself does not offer a funpark, but it has the Planneralm - also included in the Schneebärenland" - known as the "SnowValley". The park was opened in the year 2000 and has established itself in the freestyle scene. Beginner to hardcore pro, on skis or on a snowboard, have a place here, where they can really burn off steam. The area is divided into three sections: beginner. medium and advanced area.

Various kickers, some boxes, rails and tubes are available here. Especially popular is the funcross line, including e.g. steep curves and waveride. The park has also already been the venue for various contests.
