Ski area Hoch-Imst

For entertaining skiing fun right in the village, a small but nice T-bar lift in Tarrenz in Bungerloch takes you up to a 300-metre-long medium-difficulty descent. At the bottom, a magic carpet transports children to their first attempts at skiing. Beginners and advanced skiers alike will get their money's worth on this piste, which can also be covered with artificial snow.

A total of 9 kilometres of pistes and four lifts can be found on the gently rolling slopes in the family and child-friendly Hoch-Imst ski area. The area has specialised in many packages for those returning to the sport and beginners. For the little ones, there is the "Winterpark Hoch-Imst", a versatile practice slope that combines great fun with a learning effect with a magic carpet and obstacles.

The longest descent is the 3 km long valley run, where you overcome a difference in altitude of 1,200 metres. The black pistes on the Alpjoch are ideal for experts. After the official lift closes, you can enjoy night skiing on one of the longest floodlit pistes in Tyrol, which stretches over 4 km. Night tobogganing is also possible on two natural toboggan runs.

Want even more choice? It's not far from Tarrenz to the top ski regions of West Tyrol, such as the Arlberg, the Ötztal and the Pitztal Glacier.

Après ski Hoch-Imst

In Tarrenz, many sporty and relaxing activities await you away from the piste. These include ice skating and curling rinks, horse-drawn carriage rides, winter and snowshoe hiking trails and eight toboggan runs in the Imst holiday region. If you are looking for a special adrenaline rush when tobogganing, you will find it on the Alpine Coaster in the neighbouring village of Imst. This fast-paced family attraction is the longest Alpine rollercoaster in the world with a distance of 3.5 kilometres.

Would you rather go swimming to relax your muscles? Then you shouldn't miss the extraordinary swimming experience at the Aqua Dome in Längenfeld. Around 40 minutes by car from Tarrenz is the large, modern thermal spa, which impresses even from the outside with its futuristic bowl-shaped pools. The facilities include sports and activity pools, a water world for children, a spa and spa area and a fitness centre.

If you want to end the evening in peace and quiet on site, why not take a spin on the ice rink, then stop off for a hot drink in the pub café, play a game of darts or enjoy a hearty dinner in one of the inns. If you want to dance the (classic) night away, you will also find the best atmosphere and music in some of the bars and pubs.
