Ski area Ski area Silvretta Montafon

With the included "Silvretta Montafon" lift pass, winter sports enthusiasts have access to the Silvretta Montafon ski area. For snow lovers who would like to spend a little more time on the pistes and purchase a lift pass for at least 2.5 days, the "Montafon Brandnertal" lift pass is also included. With the extended Montafon Brandnertal lift pass, skiers and snowboarders can ski a total of 297 kilometres of pistes (see ski region). In addition to the Silvretta Montafon ski area, the lift pass allows you to explore the Gargellen, Golm and Brandnertal ski areas.

Snow lovers who spend their winter holidays in Silbertal can consider themselves lucky, since the valley station of the Kristbergbahn is located directly in the village. The compact ski area on the Kristberg, the gourmet mountain in the Montafon, is ideal for families with its two ski lifts, a total of four pistes and Silbis Winterworld. Silbis Winterworld is a practice area with a magic carpet which can be used free of charge by beginners and children.

The valley station of the Kapellbahn is also located in Silbertal and brings skiers and snowboarders directly to the Silvretta Montafon ski area. With the Montafon Brandnertal lift pass, winter sports enthusiasts have a total of 117 kilometres of perfectly groomed pistes and 23 kilometres of ski routes at their disposal. The largest ski area in the Montafon region has won numerous awards and is popular among tourists and locals not only because of its reliable snow conditions. Between 700 m and 2,430 m above sea level, winter sports enthusiasts with different preferences and levels of ability will find what they are looking for. On a total of 62 kilometres of blue pistes, beginners and the youngest skiers and snowboarders have the opportunity to learn their first turns, while carving lovers can perfect their technique on the wide pistes. Advanced skiers can test their skills on a total of 45 red and 10 black kilometres of pistes. The 10 black slopes are also known as Black Scorpions. Anyone who wants to conquer these extremely steep slopes should have courage and good technique. Soft knees are not an option for winter sports enthusiasts on this piste.

The Silvretta Montafon ski area also has a lot to offer for adventurous freeriders and freestylers. A total of 23 km of ski routes guarantee exciting off-piste runs. In addition to that, freestylers can go wild in the Snowpark Montafon.

Après ski Silbertal

In the Silvretta Montafon ski area, winter sports enthusiasts will find numerous huts and restaurants that invite them to take a relaxing break. The panorama restaurant Kapell, for example, impresses with an stunning view from the sun terrace and wonderful culinary delicacies. Around the ski area, numerous bars and pubs invite you to have a drink or two. Après ski fans will find what they are looking for at the valley stations. Popular locations include the Grasjoch Schirmbar, the Kapell Schirm, the Brunellawirt and the Schirmbar Seitenschwung. Party-goers should also make sure to schedule a visit to the Trolli bus in the Silbertal. In the wood-clad omnibus proper singing and dancing can be done.

Besides the wide range of après ski, numerous other leisure activities are available. At the ski resort's theme park, which is connected to the large equipment hire shop, you can try out trendy fun sports equipment such as Skifox, Snowscooter and Airboard, which can be not only a lot of fun for children. There are also numerous routes for toboggan lovers to explore. For example, there is a toboggan run starting at the mountain station of the Kristberg cable car in the Kristberg family ski area. About 20 km away from Silbertal is the maize village Garfrescha, where the longest illuminated toboggan run in Vorarlberg is located.

Culture lovers will also find what they are looking for in the Silbertal. A visit to the mining museum or a visit to the parish church of St. Nicholas is highly recommended. Nature lovers can look forward to wonderful winter walks or snowshoe hikes through the mystical white landscape. Especially for families a snow hike with lamas will be a memorable experience. Horst Kuster owns a lama farm in Innerberg and offers hikes of a special kind. With Horst and the lamas you then go on mountain squire paths through the white, beautiful landscape.

Snowpark: Snowpark Montafon Silbertal

Silvretta Montafon is one of the most popular ski resorts in Vorarlberg, offering a wide range of activities for skiers and snowboarders of all interests. Here, everyone, even freestylers can can be sure to find what they're looking for. The Snowpark Montafon is located at the Fredalift in the multifaceted terrain of the Grasjoch. Whether beginner, advanced or pro - in this snowpark every winter sports enthusiast will find the right kicker, the right rail or another obstacle, which invites to get to know the art of freestyle or to perfect your tricks. Rails, jibs, boxes, hips and wallrides, as well as Austria's first freeride cross leave nothing to be desired and invite you to let your creativity run free. In total there are up to 40 obstacles in the park and different kickers allow the air acrobats to present spectacular jumps. The ambitious park crew makes sure that the snowpark is in perfect shape every day. After a wild day in the park, the chill area invites you to exchange experiences, new ideas and relax with good music.
