Location and facilities
The ecologically conscious, 3-star superior Family and Landhotel Stern is located centrally in Obsteig. The ski bus stops directly at the house and takes you comfortably to the approx. 1 km distant ski area at Grünberg as well as to Seefeld, which is approx. 25 km away. A hotel-own shuttle (Tue. - Thu., more info on site) takes you to Ötz Valley, to the Hochötz ski area in approx. 25 km. Cross-country fans will find direct access to the trails at the building.The Tyrolean guest house (since 1509) was awarded as a climate-friendly hotel in 2012 and offers a reception, lift, lounge area, Wi-Fi, breakfast room, restaurant, a bar, a ski room and free of charge parking spaces. The modern sauna and relaxation area with sauna, organic sauna, activity showers and panorama swing, offers a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains, and is included in the holiday price. If paid for locally, there are further offers, such as massages, lymphatic drainage or Shiatsu available (on prior request).
The family-friendly hotel offers its guests a special programme for child-entertainment. There is child-care service available, offering a 5-day nature children's programme after the ski lessons in the "Sternchen Club" (Mon - Fri, from 3 to 12 years) with treasure hunt, snowman building, tobogganing, a farm visit, and much more. Further, there is an indoor and outdoor playground, pony riding, petting zoo and children's lunch (in the Sternchen Club) already included as part of the child-care service. A baby and toddler's programme (ages 6 months - 6 years) is available between 04/01 - 01/02/2020 as well as 07/03 - 23/03/2020 (as per info in resort).
For the adults there is also an entertaining programme available (as per notice in resort), including e.g. ski touring try-out and winter activity tours. Locally payable fees may apply for transfer and equipment rental. When booking a ski tour with guide, the touring equipment will be available for free and organised by the hotel. Furthermore, guests will receive the Welcome Card of which will grant you reduced entrance to the Telfes "Erlebnisbad" water park (services are subject to change, more details on site).
Rooms
The recently renovated rooms, now with a larch style, all have a bath or shower/wc, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, hair drier, safe, and some also have a balcony. The double rooms with 2 addl. beds are a little larger and additionally have a living area or pull-out sofa bed as well as a kitchenette with refrigerator and kettle.Board
The holiday price already includes half-board PLUS and comprises a daily breakfast buffet with products from regional farming, a diverse afternoon snack (15:00 - 16:30) and a 4-course evening menu with choice of main dish. At dinner time, a special focus is laid on natural and organic products. Vegetarian dishes, gluten-free or lactose-free meals and dietary cuisine are also possible (on prior request). Twice per week there are themed evenings on offer, such as e.g., music evenings or farmer buffets.Pets
