Ski area Kitzbühel

The whole 188 km of piste are available to you with the lift pass "Kitzbühel“. And that's not all: in total there are 57 lifts, that bring winter sports fans up to 2,000 m altitude – from the pistes in Gaisberg, Pengelstein, Hahnenkamm, Kitzbüheler Horn or Resterhöhe.

The highlights in the ski area are for sure the speed, carving and slalom tracks. The more experienced ones can try their luck and ride the Streif, the steepest race track in the world! Here is the annual competition of Hahnenkammrennen held.

Free-styler are right at home in one of the two snow parks. Kickers, quarter pipes, slides and rails offer them enough challenges.

For those who want to spend their ski day in a slower pace, should start with the blue pistes at Gaisberg, Ehrenbachhöhe and Pengelstein. Several ski routes are around Bichlalm, Pengelstein and Steinbergkogel. Off the piste are also delightful deep snow possibilities.

For those who just want to send some photos home, in the ski area Kitzbühel there are over 50 free Wi-Fi Hotspots, that you can use.

Those looking for some more diversity can upgrade the lift pass to the Super Ski Card (see ski region). This is valid in 21 ski areas like the Wilder Kaiser - Brixental, Schneewinkel and Ski Juwel (Alpbachtal-Wildschönau), ski region Dachstein West as well as Zell am See - Kaprun.

Furthermore the resort offers cultural experiences such as a small museum district or Mittersill castle. You could also take a shopping stroll through various shops after having been on the piste all day. If you have not had enough of nature in the afternoon, you can still let off steam in the Kitzbühel Alps or Hohe Tauern National Park until in the evening and enjoy the wonderful mountain panorama.

Those looking for classic après ski parties should visit nearby Kitzbühel, which is well-known even beyond national borders. Whether directly in the ski area or at the valley stations - everywhere numerous huts such as "Sonnberg Alm" or "Tonis Gptte" invite you to a stop for a bite to eat or a drink. The "5erl", "Pavillon", "Londoner" and "Klausenfalle", where après ski was allegedly invented, are also famous. Later in the evening the "Highways" or "Jimmys" are worth a visit.

Snowpark: Snowpark Horn Mittersill

Freestylers will find two parks in the Kitzbühel ski area. Snowpark Horn is situated at Kitzbüheler Horn mountain and offers several kickers, rails and boxes for both beginners and more experienced borders.

A second park is located at Hanglalm. The park is cared for by park designer Franz Lechner and his nine-person team, and it is definitely worth a visit. Apart from kickers and rails you can look forward to several tubes, boxes, jibs and a special - all in all, there approx. 35 obstacles.
