Location and facilities
The family-run 4-star Erlebnishotel Sonnalp is located only approx. 500 m from the resort centre and the Rofanseilbahn lift away. Directly opposite the house, a ski bus stop (free of charge with the AchenseeCard, see info below) can be found. The next winter hiking track and cross-country trail can be found right by the house.The general facilities of this cosy hotel include a reception with welcome hall, lift, Wi-Fi (incl.), library, fireplace room, restaurant, parlour, bar, playroom with several playing facilities (for a fee) and a ski room with a ski boot drier.
The hotel's own spa area (14:00 - 19:00) can be used free of charge and offers an old-wood organic sauna with light therapy, Finnish sauna, aroma steam room, infrared cabin, Kneipp foot bath, relaxation room with tea bar and drinking fountain as well as a 120 m² large indoor pool (06:00 - 22:00) with jacuzzi and waterfall. Massages and beauty treatments as well as the solarium can be used for a fee.
Additionally, guests receive two spa vouchers, each worth € 5 per room and stay (cannot be exchanged for cash, non-transferable, and only redeemable during the time of stay). The hotel features Austria's first Prof. Pöppel relaxation room (for a fee).
With acquisition of the "AchenseeCard" (for a fee), several discounts and services such as free rides with the local Achensee bus or use of the regional cross-country trails (subject to change and limitation of services and period of use, consult information locally)can be taken advantage of.
1 x per week, an entertainment evening with live music takes places. Use of the in-house library is free for guests. Free parking spaces are available at the house.

The holiday price include half board, which consists of a lavish breakfast buffet, 1 x per week (Sundays) a breakfast with sparkling wine and on Mondays a "Weißwurst" (Bavarian veal sausage) breakfast, as well as a 5-course dinner to choose from with salad buffet in the evening.On top of that, different themed evenings, such as a Bavarian evening, a Tyrolean delicacy buffet and a candle light dinner with aperitif are organised.
A small lunch buffet (13:00 - 15:30) can also be booked for a fee.

Important notes
- Children (born in 2010 or later) are only permitted to use the lifts if accompanied by full-paying parents. Children do not receive a lift pass in resort. Should the children (born in 2010 or later) be taking part in ski lessons where a lift pass is required, a "Schihaserlkarte" lift pass has to be purchased locally €10 per day).

Generally speaking, babies younger than 24 months of age upon arrival can travel for free, but they must be listed on the booking. Please note that fees for the stay may be charged locally (see Local Costs/Services).
