Ski area Unterberghorn

The local mountain at Kössen, the "Unterberg", offers skiers a very diverse and snow-sure ski area, at an altitude of 1,700 m, which can be skied on from mid-December to the beginning of April. A snow-making system is installed, ensuring the run into the valley. All in all, Kössen has around 30 kilometres of piste, which are served by 10 lift systems. Great, relatively safe deep snow opportunities are also found on the lower mountain pastures and partially in the valley run. Highly recommended is a trip to the Walchsee ski area (Zahmer Kaiser with a further 25 kilometres of piste).

Après ski Unterberghorn

Après ski in Walchsee and Kössen will definitely give you your money's worth. In the "Londoner", "Erwin" and many others, you will experience everything that is a part of après ski - for decent prices! The Liftstüberl at the valley station in Walchsee invites you in to party. You should also try the regional cuisine, such as "Kaiserschmarrn", typically Kössish trout or grilled goat ribs. A further highlight in Kaiserwinkel is the ballooning week in Walchsee from 24/01/09 - 31/01/2009, where quaint balloon shapes can be marvelled at and guests can experience races between real ballooning professionals! Also recommended is the night skiing on the floodlit piste. Easy ski touring destinations or even snowbike courses are offered in Schwendt, which promises action-packed hours. The selection for active people is huge.
