Ski area Kitzbühel
The speed, carving and slalom slopes are special attractions, with the highlight being the steepest competitive slope in the world, the Streif - a must for passionate winter athletes! This also where the annual Hahnenkamm race takes place. With the 3S cable car a fantastic interconnected ski area has been created, which offers you the opportunity to use the pistes from Krichberg, via Kitzbühel and Jochberg, right up to the Skiarena Resterhöhe in Pass Thurn.
The Kitzbühel Snowpark is a true boarders paradise: with quarter-pipe, tables, slides and jumps on the Hanglalm a snowboarder's heart will definitely beat faster. The easy runs on Gaisberg, Ehrenbachhöhe and Pengelstein are ideal for families. All around Bichlalm, Pengelstein and Steinbergkogel, there are numerous marked ski routes for all skill levels, as well as excellent deep-powder runs off-piste.
A special highlight in this ski area are the 50 free Wi-Fi Hotspots it offers for all its visitors! Only a few easy steps are required to access the Internet and you can instantly supply your friends and family with your holiday news and photos.
Those, looking for some more diversity can upgrade the lift pass to the "Super Ski Card" (see Ski Region). This is also valid in the ski areas Wilder Kaiser - Brixental, Schneewinkel and Ski Juwel (Alpbachtal-Wildschönau). You can access 21 ski regions in Tyrol and Salzburg, with 2,750 km of pistes, accessible via 926 lifts. Unlimited skiing fun!
Night skiing Kitzbühel
Austria has several night ski areas with pistes that are open until night-time. The ski area Kitzbühel also offers night skiing possibilities so you can go skiing in the evening. Every Wednesday from 18:30, night skiing is possible on approx. 1 km of illuminate pistes in Reith. Another 1.5 km night ski piste is available at Gaisberg lift in Kirchberg every Thursday and Friday between 18:30 and 21:30. Here you can also go night-tobogganing. If your lift pass is valid for at least 6 days you can go night skiing at Gaisberg for free once per stay. Otherwise, evening tickets for night skiing or night tobogganing can be acquired in resort. If you need some refreshments during or after night skiing, Gaisberstüberl is open until 22:30 during night ski days.Après ski Kitzbühel
The resort doesn't just attract fun-oriented visitors, but also nature lovers. The wonderful mountains can be experienced on hiking trails along the frozen ponds and lakes, or on a snowshoe tour over the region's loveliest hills. Special highlights on these hiking tours are the trails along the Hintersteuerberg or along the unique lake promenade of Lake Schwarz. If the ice is thick enough, the lake also invites you to take a twirl on skates and does not only make children's eys sparkle.
The lighted 1.5 km long toboggan run at Gaisberg is also a great experience, as is a horse-drawn sleigh ride or a torchlight hike through the snowy landscape. Those looking to relax after a strenuous day on the piste should visit the pool and sauna complex "Aquarena". A cinema centre and a casino complete the resort's huge selection of activities.
