Ski area Kitzbühel

With 188 kilometres of piste (234 km including the ski routes!), the "Kitzbühel" lift pass offers perfect ski enjoyment. 57 lifts bring you comfortably to the pistes of Kirchberg, Jochberg and Kitzbühel, located between 800 and 2,000 m altitude. The ski area "Kitzbühel" is known as a real Mecca for winter sports fans, due to its annual ski world cup competitions. Thousands of spectators are present when the Hahnenkamm Race takes place on the legendary "Streif" in Kitzbühel.

The 3S gondola offers perfect access to great ski tours for passionate amateurs, crossing the areas of Kitzbühel, Jochberg and Kirchberg right up to the Skiarena Resterhöhe in Pass Thurn. The "Fleckalm" 10-person gondola will provide winter sports fans with maximum comfort thanks to its ergonomically-designed heated seats! Freeriders will also find many signed ski routes away from the prepared pistes, designed for all levels of difficulties.

A special highlight in this ski area are the 50 free Wi-Fi hotspots it offers for all its visitors! Only a few easy steps are required to access the Internet and you can instantly supply your friends and family with your holiday news and photos.

The snow park "Mercedes-Benz Snowpark" is a true boarders paradise: with quarter-pipe, tables, slides and jumps on the Hangalm a snowboarder's heart will definitely beat faster.

Families are well catered for in Kirchberg: the great valley runs "Kaser" and "Fleck" offer fun for all level skiers and can easily be reached via the Fleckalm.

Those, looking for some more diversity can upgrade the lift pass to the Super Ski Card (see Ski Region). This is also valid in the ski areas Wilder Kaiser - Brixental, Schneewinkel and Ski Juwel (Alpbachtal-Wildschönau). You can access 21 ski regions in Tyrol and Salzburg, with 2,780 km of pistes, accessible via 916 lifts. Unlimited skiing fun!

Night skiing Kirchberg

Many ski areas in Austria offer night skiing, and so does the Kitzbühel ski area. Every Thursday and Friday from 18:30 - 21:30 you can go night skiing at the Gaisberg lift in Kirchberg. The illuminated night ski piste has a length of approx. 1.5 km and the flood lights are on until 22:30. Apart from skiing by night-time you can also go night tobogganing at Gaisberg. Evening tickets for night skiing or night tobogganing can be acquired in resort. Those who have a lift pass valid for at least 6 days can go night skiing for free once per stay. During or after the night-time skiing fun Gaisbergstüberl pub offers refreshments at the mountain station until 22:30.

Après ski Kirchberg

After a great day's skiing, it's off to après ski... even if Kirchberg isn't as notorious as its neighbour Kitzbühel, boredom definitely won't be a problem! This is taken care of by numerous discos, bars and pubs. A special tip is the "Eisbar", which was opened in 2005 and enjoys great popularity. You can dance to your heart's content in e.g. "Kuhstall". Of course, it also recommended that you party amongst the glitz, glamour and fame of the Kitzbühel après-ski scene! For those looking for a more low-key evening, can choose between typical Tyrolean and international cuisine.

During the day, you have the chance to let loose on the 3.5 km long toboggan run at Gaisberg, take part in a winter hike or practise your pirouettes in the ice-rink. Night tobogganing, piste tours in the evening, horse-drawn sleigh rides, paragliding, indoor tennis, squash and snowshoe hikes are also on offer. Or why not treat yourself to a bit of variety in the popular "Aquarena" in Kitzbühel: enjoy a massage, a mud bath or have a good time in the sauna and indoor pool there, for example!

Snowpark: Snowpark Horn Kirchberg

Kitzbühel attracts freestylers for 2 reasons: the snow parks "Horn" and the "Mercedes-Benz Snowpark". At the Kitzbüheler Horn there is the snow park "Horn" awaiting you. Beginners and pros alike have the chance to run riot on kickers, rails, boxes and jib elements.

On you go to the snow park in the southern part of the ski area, the "KitzSki Snowpark Hanglalm" - a jewel amongst the snow parks here. Park designer Franz Lechner and his 9-man team put in all their expertise and creativity in maintaining this park, to offer freestylers top quality. Kickers and rails for all skill levels await you here, as well as boxes, tubes, jibes and a special. In total there are 35 obstacles to practice and show off on. To be most up to date, the shapers plan a new set-up every seasons.
